I've read the reviews, looked at the price points and I'm interested in buying a GTX 460.  In the past, I would hit Newegg and there would be a few different types.  You'd have an overclocked one, one with less ram, and that's it.  It was pretty easy to go "This is the standard one, I'll buy that."

I just hit Newegg, filtered it to where I only see GTX 460's with 1 GB of RAM, made by EVGA.

There are 11 different cards...  I have to add each one to my cart just to see the price, and the only difference I can see is what looks like a serial number.  1370-TR, 1371-TR, 1372-TR, 1373-TR, 1371-AR, 1373-AR, 1380-KR, etc.  There is also a SE card.

What do each one of these serial numbers mean?  Why is this information not listed on your website?  This is super confusing to a consumer.  I'd like to figure out which one of these 11 I'd like to buy.

    Warranties:
AR, A1, ER all have lifetime warranties (ten years in Europe) upon registration
TR has a two year warranty
KR has a three year warranty upon registration that can be upgraded (see more here http://www.evga.com/articles/00607/)

    Onto the cards:
    01G-P3-1378-XX                    GTX 460 FTW EE
    01G-P3-1377-XX                    GTX 460 FTW
    01G-P3-1373-XX                    GTX 460 SC EE
    01G-P3-1371-XX                    GTX 460 EE
    01G-P3-1372-XX                    GTX 460 SC
    01G-P3-1380-XX                    GTX 460 SSC + W/Backplate
    01G-P3-1370-XX                    GTX 460 FPB
    01G-P3-1367-XX                    GTX 460 SE SC
    01G-P3-1366-XX                    GTX 460 SE

    Abbreviations:
    FTW: For The Win
    SSC: Super Super Clocked
    SC: Super Clocked
    EE: External Exhaust
SE: Smart Edition (not sure about this)
All versions have 1Gb of memory as all of the 768mb versions have been discontinued. The smart version is a cut down version of the others and only has 288 cores while the others have 336.

All cards with 336 cores can be put in SLI, while the cards with 288 cores have to be put in SLI separately. Also when putting cards in SLI they will have the same clock speed as the slower card.

Hope that helps (yes it is confusing )

The SE models are the ones with 288 cores and they are really just a step between the GTS 450 and GTX 460. They should have been called GTS 455 and Davidia is correct, you should not try to SLI a SE model with the other kinds.

But do notice it is most likely better to SLI 460 SEs then 768mb versions, because of the extra frame buffer and ram.

This one is an EE model but it is a TR so only a 2 year warranty, but for $185 and $155 after rebates is hard to beat!
