Too bad the OP teams had big contributors leave.. reminds me of bwm's issues here not too long ago. I know there was other issues with that story..lol, but points inequality was one of their biggest beefs the whole time they were here.

It's a nice bump for F@h, but that also means nearly every team is going to get a good bump in PPD, except us! Our community is like 5% ATI, but [H] and Overclock.net could be near 50% ATI. WE GOT TO RAMP IT UP PEOPLE!!! FOLD MORE!!!

On the note of PPD, he kind of skirted around the issue like I feel he should have.  He basically said they are debating new benchmarking methods, but seemed to leave it open that it would be similiar to before:  The more science you are doing, the more points you will get.  That is definitely how it should be.
 
And I would not be surprised if a lot of our dedicated machine folders picked up AMD cards if they proved to be ahead of NVidia cards.  On that note though, Pande group has stated a couple of times the actual architechture of NVidia cards is better suited for most WU's.  AMD cards have a very large number of shader units running in parallel, and few WU's are able to fully utilize them all.  Few even fully utilize all of NVidia's, but NVidia's shaders pack more punch per shader then AMD's.  EDIT: (has to do a lot with the programming also, read link below).

Not to turn this into a flame thread but it would be nifty if I could use my AMD 1090T six core to run -bigadv units.  I've got it OC'd to 4.2Ghz and it's perfectly stable.  I'm using Windows 7 64bit.  I don't even want to try to use it with a VMware setup because I'd be too afraid of putting out junk results.  Just say'n.

You can, but you must run a modified... something... I don't know the details, but it's either a modified version of notfred's client, or a modified Folding@home client. People have done it, but Vijay Pande himself didn't recommend it.
 
Besides, the X6 rocks SMP anyway
