just installed. boot times are certainly faster but HD performance is the same on a single HDD. can't expect too much out of a driver though :\

Nice! I concur boot time is screamin' now.
Something odd with the 1043 on that download page, doesn't come with the Setup application file.
Had to go with the 1026.

Hmm. Was able to get the 1026 to install with the new intel rapid storage console, looks pretty neat, just having some troubles installing the later version, i tried doing it through device manager, but it says i already have the latest version. Any ideas?

What I suspect you have done is in Device Manager you went to Disk Drives and your volume in order to Update Driver Software.
In order to update the driver for the IRST, follow these steps:

    - In Device Manager, expand Storage controllers
    - Right click on Intel Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller
    - Browse my computer for driver software
    - Go to where you extracted the 1043, and then click Next
    - After the drivers have updated, reboot.
You should be all updated after that!

and load it over the previous driver, the 1043 does not come with the control panel, just the driver

I had better results on the 9.6.0.1014 driver.

Better than the 10....1026 results.  1043 doesn't have an executable to install. So I can't compare.

Comparison, the middle one is supposed to be 9.6.0.1014.

I still get better performance (according to ATTO) on the 9.6.0.1014 driver.  Plus the fact that the UI for 9.6 loads immediately once the OS is up where as the 10.0.0.1026 UI takes forever to kick in.

I'm under the impression that these shouldn't affect boot times because they are OS dependent.  Am I wrong here?

you people do know repeatably running benchmark on SSD is gonna do nothing but slow it down?

been running a 128GB Mushkin SSD for 5 months and absolutely no degrade in speed.
will probably wait for the official released since i don't benchmark every 3 mins like some people.. hopefully they add full trim support, which people have been waiting over a year already.

well such a tiny amount who cares, I am at 10% free left on my SSD Raid Array and I am BETTER than day 1 performance!
    beat that!
sure thanks to these drivers, but OCZ's GC works so well anytime I have ever saw any degredation, I LOG OFF for a few hours to let GC (Garbage Collection) do it's things I am right back to day 1 performance

degradation is highly overrated (sure when I ran the first firmware OCZ had it was there * 1 year ago*, but now after many flashes and this lastest firmware....it's not even an issue these days)
and if u got only 1 drive u got TRIM.....again, there is no issue today.

anyhow "READ"S will not degrade performance at all, u could run HD TUNE (read) all day and never see a change

I'll wait for the release but how are the I/O operations per second on these drivers?  If this tweaks throughput at the expense of IOPs then I won't touch these with a 10 foot pole since that would be stupid for anyone with solid state drives.
