I only have 12 days left on mine, hoping it's available soon.
Otherwise, the line "The EVGA Step-Up program helps you have the peace of mind to purchase your favourite product now, knowing you can upgrade to the latest parts that come out within the first 90 days from your purchase." doesn't really apply.
The step-up program was a major selling point when I was upgrading to my 780ti, and the 980 did indeed "come out within the first 90 days" of my purchase.

If you select auto-notify they will email you when they are available to buy through EVGA. It works well. When you get the email, I would not wait long to get on and order one though.

From everything I have read I would say more of a side step. However, drivers will improve and I would expect decent performance gains.

yeah, this is a huge bummer to me as well. At least I have 58 days left. This is a pretty big let down, I mean, they advertise this program like you will get to have the best new tech. Release the cards at midnight, and then don't even allow them for step up. Pretty darn lame in my opinion. c'mon evga.

This happens at every launch. It is not flip a switch fast. And even when new items are added, folks start finding problems and say "Why is this or that not working". Believe it or not EVGA is operated by humans. They will have most of everything completed by the end of the business day today...

In the USA, the GTX 980 my account shows available for step up is 04G-P4-2980-KR I am hoping to wait for one of the ACX 2.0 versions. I have 70 days so that should work.
