I noticed people saying that a mining rig running on Ethernet tends to get a lower rejection rate than with a Wi-Fi card. Is this true?

My miners are mostly Wi-Fi atm, and I noticed the rejection rates of my main rig, which is wired, is on average lower.

Haven't really noticed, I'm on WiFi. I used to blame the pools in general for higher rejection. I remember switching around alot, one was just naturally high, others were lower. Nite should know, we pool hopped.

I'm currently on doge.hashfaster.com getting about 2-3% rejection rate I've fine tuned my settings but this is as good as I can get.

I always use RJ-45 for my system, Wireless internet has ALWAYS been a headache for me

My moms laptop is on wireless and I have to alot of times reboot the router just to get it connected again, where as my RJ 45 connections always work.

as for rejection rate mine is mega low, between 0% to 0.5% on all my GPU's, I'm on doge.hashfaster.com as well.

Been mining the doge.hashfaster.com myself and only see 0-1.5% tops.  Really I say it must be the block went stale or the pool itself.

its all about packet loss. sniff your wifi and see if you are getting loss. no loss = just as good as hardwire. I use wired connections but that is because I have a switch within feet of my rigs.

As a general rule I would never use Wireless for something that runs 24/7 where connection is important. RJ-45/Ethernet is a MUST have for mining.

Damn, I'll have to find a way to get ethernet to my miner. Thanks for the heads up!
