I played the tutorial and that is about it.  Reminded me of diablo and warcraft, very nostalgic.  I started playing Diablo 3 and completely forgot about it. 

There is also an error to your logic there, as a person gets better at the game chances are "I should create another account since I'm beasting now and this is a free game".  Losses erased.  Not to mention accounts that were banned for cheating, exploiting, etc.  The highest number of players on at a given time is 1.3 million.  Not very active are we.

and I do believe that LoL has beaten WoW in active players. It's the most successful MOBA branch-off game ever created. Games are basically copying League of Legends route of success.

How long have you been playing? There's a new map coming in a future patch with a one single lane. It's pretty fun.

I have played it a little.  DOTA 2 is where it is at for me.  If you ever start playing that, get a hold of me.

Yeah but thats just an ARAM map, more of a minigame really.
I want another full on 5v5 Ranked map,
I love dominion, but theres no ranked on it and it just draws from your SR elo pool.
Which is pretty good since im way over skilled for my ELO(i just have Rotten luck), so i can carry in dominion very well

For example my buddy and I played one game of LoL this weekend just to troll. I picked up skarner, my whole team was mad because hes not a 'high tier' champ. I destroyed the other team. I had fun I'm not going to lie but it was way too easy.

I also cant wait for DOTA 2. I think it will be better than League of legends plus it will be on steam. I can imagine now the hats....

BTW it is technically already out. It's just not 100% finished. It's in BETA but anyone can play since you can get an invite or now you can buy a pass to start playing it. And yes theres is already hats and costumes for a few heros. Cool thing is you don't have to pay for them, you can but you can also have them drop after games randomly.

LoL is not a PVE beat em up, its about fighting 5 other players wth your 4 team mates.

Saying a pvp game is easy literall one of the most idiotic(no offence to you) statements anyone can make.
If its easy, Go play ranked and go carry for your elo.
you will eventually reach a point where you are infact not good enough and the game will not be easy for you.

Thats the entire idea of a skill based PVP game.
the depth of mechanics is irrelvent when the other live opponant is the eney manning the same mechanics its a test of skill, not how good you can dominate a PVE location.

Sorry I'm terrible at explaining myslef xD. I shall explain.
I meant that compared to DotA(2), LoL is a lot easier. In DotA, you can deny creeps, means the enemy player gets half the exp from that creep, makes the laning phase a lot more harder and more interesting.
Creeps in the jungle don't heal you when you kill them, they don't get buffs either, only xp and gold and they are pretty hard to kill if you don't know what you're doing.
You can also do what they call 'pulling creeps' means you attack creeps from the jungle and run towards your lane, your creeps from the lane will attack the mobs in the jungle meaning the enemy players don't get xp from this wave of creeps.
It's also important to keep in mind that when you attack from the low ground to the high ground you have a miss chance when attacking, you always have to be sure to be on high ground to make sure not to miss.
Racks in DotA or what you call inhibitors in LoL don't respawn after a time. So if you do lose them in a lane, you always have to check that lane to make sure that you don't get overwhelmed with creeps in the base.

It might sound stupid all of this, but when I'm playing LoL, I don't have to worry about all of those things. I hope this made you understand why I find LoL easier. I just don't need to think as much as I do in DotA.

I used to play LoL when it came out, wasn't the best TBH. Was probably around 1300 too 1400 elo, that's pretty bad actually. But now that I've played a lot of DotA, I feel that if I would play LoL again I could hit the 1600 mark very very easy. Trust me when I say that, if you want to become better in LoL, just play DotA(2) or...HoN.

I haven't played DotA2 yet but from what i saw it's exactly like HoN? I played HoN for a while and switched to LoL about a year ago. The thing i don't like about HoN is how useless "mage" classes become after mid game. You basically end up being a support. In LoL your abilities scale nicely with AP throughout the game making you just as deadly as you were early game.
 
Also in HoN if the carry get's fed it's pretty much GG. To me it seems easier to counter the carry in LoL than in HoN.
 
Last but not least the HoN community is probably one of the worst gaming cimmunities i have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. (I'm assuming it's carried over to DotA2 as well)
 
Oh yea another thing i noticed after playing a game of HoN the other day for the first time in a long time. The interface in that game seems like it's on a heavy dose of crack. They are trying to do wayyyyy to much with it. I much prefer the layout of LoL over HoN.

I'm sorry if it sounded cocky what I said. I kind of stopped playing/following LoL. When I was playing 1100 to 1300 was pretty standard, so I thought with the game going on for so long that 1600 would be this new standard where players would hit it pretty easy.
I'm actually interested in trying to get there ! Does the ranking system works like before? You get like 10 placement matches then you get a certain elo rating and you go up/down from there?
I think im going to start making a game everyday and see where that gets me. Seems like the queues to get in tho are pretty big, is it because of patch day today or something?

The amount of required controll over a champion is a skill based thing.

BF3 is no where near as competative as LoL

The only thing that annoyed me with League, is that people changed the words around. Its still a MOBA game. USE THE ORIGINAL DOTA LANGUAGE. Just keep Int, Agi, Str, Dex, and the like. Replacing it with AP and such just annoys me ever so slightly.

There are a few other words that people use that could be easier explained in normal MMO language. 

It also bothers me when people say LoL. I just say League to not be confused with the laugh out loud acronym.
