So when I first joined back in 6/18/2011, I had a pretty old AMD rig. Before that was a Pentium 4 3.5Ghz but that wasn't custom built so back to the AMD. This rig was a hand me down from a good buddy of mine, during the time my laptop
died and desktop had a nasty virus. And I needed to edit photos n what not. He said I could have this AMD rig if I could figure what was wrong with it. It was an old rig of his just sitting in the closet too lol. He built it himself as well, but it turned out the mobo was fried somehow. And it was one of those awesome boards back in its prime I think.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136158 So this was the dead mobo I think since I had a 939 Socket chip. Found a cheap replacement

It came with THE FIRST e-GeForce 7900 GT Signature Series™ Card
http://www.evga.com/articles/301.asp I had no idea it was this special till I looked it up now. lols Any who, this card lasted me for the longest time ever and still plays some of today’s games surprisingly. At first it couldn't with the drivers given? My friend remember using some other driver, it was called the Omega driver for the card and I guess was named 7900 GTO instead, this driver allowed me to play almost all the games I couldn't before with corrupted lines on current games at the time. This driver fixed something to allow me to play some new games. I also only had a small overclock on it with a 80mm fan blowing on it :) I started noticing artifacts here there from time to time down the road. Lowered the clocks and sometimes back to stock. So I feared it was nearing the end of its life, but still works fine today. But this made me go out in the market for a new card! And since I was so impressed by this little card I went straight looking for EVGA cards. And then I saw the EVGA 560Ti that was kinda in my price range.
When I went to frys to take a look, I saw the EVGA Crysis2 GTX 560Ti Maximum Edition! I was drooling over it but I managed to save up for it and bought it on June 2011 when I first joined up here! I was a noob at overclocking and didn't know how to tweak anything other than the main multiplayer, for the most part it was stable to me.
So my old rig specs were
http://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?BuildID=27954 AMD Athlon (4400+)2.2GHz Dual Core 939 Socket(2.5GHz overclock with stock cooler)
ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 939 ULi M1695 ATX AMD Motherboard
OCZ 2x 1GB EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Titanium 2-3-2-5
SilverStone ST60F 600W
9700 GT changed to 560Ti
IDE
!!? WD Hard drive
Have a few pics of this mighty old rig, sorry its getting dusty. I haven't used it awhile as it sits under my desk with its missing side panel lols. I hope to get a cheap case for it and build it back up to give to my parents to use since it’s still a great computer. I recently got air cans but I took the last pic beforehand.
update: Heres a cleaner pic :P
Ok ok.. Time for the main finale? :D So in September 2011 I began my 1st real project build. So 3 months after I joined I've been looking around n read up on everything because I was so far behind in the computer world as I've been on consoles more than anything. So it was time for me to catch up. So I decided to go with the Z68FTW route and my super awesome amazing GF of mine bought me the mobo for our "monthsary" gift to get me started on my project quest. It took me the whole month just to get it working. I got the mobo on the 8th and didn't get it working till the 28th! Every day was hard, waiting when would be the day I will be able to power it on. Reasons for my delay were at first waiting to save up for the 2600k. And when I picked that up on the 25th I was unable to power it on correctly because I was missing my 8 pin connector from my old rig that never came with it. And my friend didn't know where he put it so I had to find a deal on a PSU and picked up a AX850w from frys on the 28th. But at last! I got it working. I have pictures from the start and up till now with all my upgrades to pretty much wrap up my project for the most part.
Consider it a picture story pr0n book.

Accidentally closed the temp while doing a quick stress so theres two snaps of idle and stressed temps.
With my low voltage it is stable doing folding and gaming just fine, I never saw a need to use prime95 to check my stability since it does not crash at all doing my day to day things.
