mdzcpa run LinX right out of the folder that you downloaded after you unzip it. GFlops in the 60's for a 980X will not be accepted.

Hmmmm...that is what i did.  What I was saying above is that the 10.3.4 linpacks are what's included in the first post link.
I will give it another shot.

Way low. You should be getting somewhere around 75 Gflops with HT enabled.

Montsegur, Please retest with HyperThreading turned on. Also you can run just a 25000 problem size instead of using all the available memory.

I'm being told that the newest linpacks need SP1 installed on Win 7 for max GFlops.  I thought that was only for the AVX instruction set that comes with the Sandy Bridge chips.  But I'll try it.  I'm swapping in my early Costa Rican batch 990x (which I was preparing to E Bay) along with Win 7SP1 this weekend.

Like MacArthur said..."I shall return..."

I'm Back!  This time I think I have it.
I swapped in my trusty Costa Rican 990x which rocks out at lower voltages. I was going to E Bay this golden nugget but decided to keep it and sell the 980x instead.

The real issue I was having with the 980x and low GFlops was simply my Uncore setting.  I forgot to manually crank it up and Auto doesn't cut it.   I'm happy I decided to tinker around for this test.  I'm happier having my 990x back aboard, and I'm much better tweaked now.  I had gotten away from the hardcore settings over the last few months.

So here goes-

Took me forever to get this stable, it was annoying me a lot but I have done it.

Gonna do some SMP folding and see what kind of temps I get, hoping less then 67C.

I will either find a way, or make one.
