Have you tried installing the OS without having the SATA controller set to RAID? Install the OS in IDE mode and then add the AHCI/RAID drivers after the system is installed. You'll probably have less issues doing it that way and then adding the AHCI/RAID drivers after. Initially you may need to install the IRSTe drivers in IDE mode prior to modifying the registry.

The registry entry to modify is this:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

    Modify the appropriate entries:

msahci  -----> Set this value to 0
iaStorV -----> Set this value to 0 (if the registry key exists)

Restart your system and it should install the appropriate AHCI drivers and enable your OS for those drivers. It should also prompt you for a restart after the drivers have been installed. From there (if it used the older detected drivers) you should be able to update to the latest versions for your platform.

Information to help you with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) including Latest Downloads, Install & Configure, Documents & Guides, F6 installation method (see subsection "General information" and "Troubleshooting"), Determine if F6 installation method should be used, F6 installation method required or recommended but not required, and more can be found here..There is also some information in your motherboard manual..Otherwise you can do what James_L said.
