When you installed the driver, did you do a custom install?  Only selecting the driver & PhysX components, nothing else?  And putting a check mark in the "Clean" install box?  If you answered no to any of these questions, download the driver again from Nvidia's site >> http://www.geforce.com/drivers
and re-install following these suggestions and test it out.

Do you have the latest BIOS installed for your mobo?  The 750Ti is a pretty new card and might need the latest BIOS revision.

Not sure if you are OCing, but the last time my machine locked up browsing was because of an unstable OC on the CPU. I eventually got it stable, a year later I introduced a second video card for SLI, then my machine started locking on browsing the web again until I tweaked the OC further.

    Case (Antec 1200)
    Mother Board ( EVGA X58 SLI )
    Bios ( E75877 )
    CPU ( 920 ) OC 4.0 GHZ
    CPU Cooler ( Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 )
    Memory ( CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB 8 8 8 24 )
    PSU ( Cooler Master Gold 1000W )
    GPU ( EVGA 780 TI )
    Drivers ( 344.11 )
    Operating System ( Windows 7 64)

If you're running the latest version of PrecX, try turning off all OSD functions and see if that does anything for your issue.
