Helpful Replydissapearing icons!

loaded bc2 ok,  no desktop icon no big deal, go to my computer,  DVD RW(D:) DRIVE, right click on game icon send shortcut to desktop ok,
play game for awhile ok,  watch movie later that night, put dvd in watch movie ok, start comp up this morning, my bc2 icon is now the movie incon?  i have noticed this does this everytime i switch from game cd,  to movie dvd, my game icon is replaced. how can i get my game icon to stay on desktop?! thx.      win7/64  explorer 9

This is because a normal BFBC2 install does not use a destop Icon.
You problem is caused by linking to a file on the DVD and -not- on the hard drive... 
Also there is no need to have the disk in the drive (as long as you picked "online check" during the install), remember your going to play online and login.
 
BFBC2 creates a START menu entry in the "GAMES" folder
