I am trying to make custom cable for my 1000p2 and 1600t2. Are the wires cable both female ends on both sides? Is there a 24pin connector that doesn't have the split 20+4, that I can buy? Unfortunately I don't have my psu's with me right now so difficult to figure out what they are via pictures. Just want to make sure I buy the correct items.

There female on both ends ,connectors and terminals however Evga's 24 pin connectors have 24 pin one end and a 10- 18 pin dual connector on the PSU side.

With lots of doubles (2 into 1) quite a pita to make with 16-20 gauge IMO. Have you given the custom sleeved ones from evga a thought?

I found these guys to have all the best tools and connectors , terminals of any, you can find the connectors ( they have the 10 and 18 pin ) and terminals you need here,

I would recommend using female terminals with "long wings" if plan to crimp the sleeving,

I thought about using the EVGA ones and just cutting them to size. I was told that their cables used a very thin jacket and it sometimes showed through, also it is difficult to heatshrink and keep it on. I can't do the full length cable, as the motherboard cable need only be 10 inches long. I also don't think they have enough gpu cables. need 8 of them suckers.

I think I can handle it from here. First time doing it so want it done right.
