Hello everyone

I just bought a EVGA 1070 FTW the new model with higher clock. Soon as I recieved it and loaded drivers it blue screened and then when I was playing a game it would freeze up and do like green squares all over the screen that was with the newest driver also 372.90. It was crashing in games a lot.

Then I read about the memory thing. Mine has Micron instead of Samsung.
What memory is really supposed to be in these cards?

I changed bios switch from Master to slave and now fans run all the time. Slave offers 122% on power and fans run at 20% on idle. My bios on Master is 86.04.26.00.70
on Slave its 86.04.26.01.70

I tried turning computer off and unplugging the power cable and hold the power button down for a minute. Didn't work.

If your card is crashing on master BIOS you got a faulty card. Return it to where you bought it or RMA with EVGA.

What memory is supposed to be on the cards? Um, regardless of what you think you read, either one.

Slave BIOS is supposed to do that.

Your card may have a faulty vbios switch. Have you tried re-installing the graphics drivers and the oc program you're using?

Switch to the BIOS you want to use, uninstall Precision X OC or whatever sofware you use to monitor and/or overclock your GPU with, re-install and it should show that you are running the BIOS you selected.
