hey all, i have no clue why but everytime i click on the download links from http://www.evga.com/precision/ i just get that popup statement about did evga steal rivatuners code . i cant download it lol. every browser i try just opens the popup message window and thats it :S

So what the hell are we supposed to use now to monitor/overclock? MSI Afterburner isn't working with my 780s.
Either the old version of Precision or MSI Afterburner should work. Why doesn't Afterburner work for you? What isn't working? Is it plugged in? Did you turn it on? Have you tried turning it off and on again? "Doesn't work" is hard for us to solve. And what is wrong with your attitude?

That is idiotic. I don't want to read some EVGA diatribe about their community I want to download the software. If you wont allow me to download the software EVGA then say it right up front in big bold letters, not buried in the diatribe that I'm not going to read!

People want to use a piece of software which can easily ruin their video card if used improperly, but they complain about having to read text. One would hope that these people are willing to be patient and are willing to read a lot of text before lightheartedly downloading and installing said software. Additionally, the fact that it is not possible to download said software at this time should be pretty good indication that ... it is not possible to download said software at this time. One would hope that users, when realizing that the software cannot be downloaded at this time, will decide to read the text if they didn't already. Seeing these users instead refuse to accept reality and refuse to educate themselves and instead ask these questions over and over again on this forum, is a condition that becomes repetitive and causes one to lose some faith in humanity as a whole and encourages chastisement.

It is a pretty common marketing tenant not to advertise something you cannot deliver, for whatever reason. It is an equally common tenant to explain in big bold letters that something you advertised is not available, again, for whatever reason. Burying that explanation in multiple paragraphs of frivolous diatribe and creating an irritating loop that consistently returns you to the frivolous diatribe that most normal humans aren't interested in reading is just irritating for the majority of your customer base who couldn't give a whit and are just trying to get to the software update you recommended they run on your expensive hardware. This diatribe has nothing, nothing at all to do with the function of the software or the potential to 'ruin your video card if used improperly' and doesn't remotely resemble instruction or caution. You can hope all you want, I've been using EVGA cards since ~2004 and water cooling/overclocking them almost as long, and I have never been sent a link to download and update EVGA's software that doesn't download when you attempt and then requires me to figure out WHY it doesn't download by searching the forums. Ever. As far as 'it is not possible to download said software at this time should be pretty good indication that ... it is not possible to download said software at this time' (Edited out for Personal Attack) Perhaps you haven't ever experienced a broken link on the internet, I guess I should just be more realistic... but your sig and your 9000 posts (wow) suggests you have been around a while. I reloaded PX from a drivers disc and got Riva tuner from the internet and now all is working and being monitored as it used to be. There is more to this story, as usual, than meets the eye in any legal speak from one sides official notice but obviously someone was in the wrong here and it is usually the company that is changing things. Heading off a lawsuit is possibly the impetus for suspending and reworking something like this. I look forward to deciphering the legalese in the coming months.

To his defense, the third party could offer it infected with a virus. Downloading is all about trusting the source.

I just got the DVD/CD that came with the card packaging and got it from there. It even allowed me to get Riva Tuner so that I can monitor the temps/fan speed/video memory usage, etc. Why they can't fix a new version in a timely manner is beyond me.

The thing i don't like about third party downloads, is that they try to put in other software as well, shame that EVGA did not put in a link to earlier versions as i am a newby to the over clocking seen.

WOW this is a month old, just did a reformat how bout some software EVGA? anytime soon? And please ty_ger dont respond with some of that stuff I just wasted 5 minutes of my life reading, I just want to play with my K|ngP|in
Ok? I am not sure what I said wrong. I will repeat again, use an older version of Precision (should be on the disk which came with your video card) or use MSI Afterburner. Those are pretty simple solutions and shouldn't offend you.

I just asked a simple question how long till the new version is ready, if its gonna be soon I'll wait, I just reformatted and still have to dload some games anyway. I overvolt but I dont use AB
