i have some hardware collecting dust.
and i think of make some dedicatet folding rigs whit it.
but the qwestion is ar the gpu's stil supported?
and what ppd whil i have whit the cpu's / gpu's ?

don't know if opterons ar stil ok , bord don't post
 
if i gone use all the cpu's i need to buy some boards , ram and psu.
for the os i tink to put it on usb tumb drive
 
1x dual 771 socket
2x dual + 1x singel or 5 singel 1366 socket
a 1207 bord to chek the opterons

    Not trying to be rude, like what you said it's older hardware. Truthfully it would be better to sell the old stuff and try to run a newer GPU or 2. Your going to have to invest in so much just to get to the point of folding, it would have been better to sell. Some of the older hardware is no longer cost effective by the time it's all said. I wish it wasn't like that...

    you ar not rude,
    the xeon e55** , e5606 cpu's and 771 setup ware on sale on some sites but no responce.
    its just a id no real plans for the moment.
    is ther a ppd inpact between singel , dual or trippel channel?
    if no inpact i can spilt some trippel channel sets and so i don't need to buy ram
