Hi all.

When I run Precision X OC I get a narrow blinking colored bar (not blinking on and off, blinking as it changes through all of the colors) on the left edge of the screen. This happens both in benchmarks and games. If I don't run Precision X OC it doesn't happen. It also doesn't happen if I use Afterburner instead.

Since it doesn't happen unless Precision X OC is running, I'm inclined to think it's not a problem with the card itself. Has anyone else seen this?

This evening I ran DDU with a full safe mode driver remove. Before I did that I uninstalled all the EVGA software, Geforce Experience, etc. After the DDU and reboot I did a clean install of the NVidia drivers, this time doing a custom install with just the video drivers, the HD audio driver, and the PhysX driver. I skipped Geforce Experience this time, though I personally don't know that I've had any problems with it in the past.

The DDU and reinstall didn't help. I'm still getting the colorful blinking bar on the left edge with Precision X OC. As you can see from the image below, it's pretty visible. It's distracting, and it also cuts off a lot of the OSD text. Oh yeah, it doesn't matter whether the OSD is on or not, the bar is still there.

There is a  setting in Precision X called "FCAT Overlay" You must click Monitoring Settings and uncheck it at the bottom.

Thanks for the link. Yeah, I'd seen those graphs in some reviews and whatnot in recent months, but didn't know about fcat specifically or that it put these bars into the graphics stream. I must have checked the fcat box at some point in Precision X OC and didn't know what it was doing, and didn't immediately that it had started putting those bars up.

I'm still wrapping my head around some of the features of Prevision X OC, such as the manual mode for selecting voltage levels for each clock speed. Still not quite sure what to make of that.
