These are my cousins latest scores: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2138535 That's with the latest drivers at 1440p, 120hz, and the stock ACX coolers. What is not working as advertised? 1285mhz @ 1.212v seems good to me.

I told you what's NVIDIA. I only don't know what AMD wait so long with non reference models... They will mop floor with Ti and Afterburner voltage, but NVIDIA is ready to present new locked card for 700-800$ reference model and 0.025-0.037V. Maxwell. From beginning we now GTX780Ti is stronger than R9-290X out of box but we know and fact that difference is not big at all and real fight will came when cold unlocked non reference model from AMD show up. What NVIDIA think, to continue to sell locked card... If you look better all customers of GK110 chip must use some kind of mod and search 2 hours on net type of controller and other things how to unlock that. Now I think even MSI models are easier to unlock voltage than on Classified. I mean with Afterburner not in Classified Controller Tool. But NVIDIA not care for overclockers any more, they prepare Maxwell, their minds are focused how to sell one card 2 times and make hype. That will be Interesting battle MSI R9-290X Lightening and EVGA GTX780Ti Classified overclocking without hard mods, only with Afterburner. One of them will hold 3DMark record and price record as most expensive locked card and other Red will use almost 20 phases for 24/7 and for people who don't want to solder PCB to unlock cards. I joke EVGA will fix BIOS, I mean if you nicely beg NVIDIA CEO on knees.

CSPlayer089 I can confirm that you need above 1.212V to get a core clock of 1220MHz or greater. Anything below that results in a driver crash/recover.
Who needs 1.212v everyone or just your cards? I have 2 in sli boosting to 1245mhz and 200 oc on the memory, . top card 1.187v and bottom 1.212v. Game stable.. Temps 71-72c top and 66-67c bottom. Can go higher but then temps increase. Waiting for my caselabs case to come then putting cards underwater... Just grab the right bios floating around, there are actually 2. At least you will gain stability with either bios..
Pretty sure I had a defective card. After updating the drivers to the latest WHQL release this morning, I was getting constant driver crashes within seconds of loading any game. Exchanged the card for a new one today, and it has been overclocking even better than the last, and better yet, NO driver crashes.

I called customer service and he said they were behind on rmaing classys ......He could not tell me when my new card will be shipped. :( I RMAd my card because all the known fixes still make my card artifact at any speed. cant believe I started this thread 3 weeks ago ..... Triss Of course, when paired up with EVGA's Award Winning ACX Cooling, you get reduced temperatures, silent operation, and best of all, unbelievable overclocking potential! so where is this?? Thats right off the page u linked..
this and then when people ask why this "unbelievable overclocking potential" starts crashing at like +-30/40mhz core overclock EVGA is all "yeah we can't make promises on overclocking". I have seen people with horrible overclocks that just crash with the slightest increases. EVGA themselves said there is a bios issue and that it needs to be fixed. then they go "hey we got a issue with getting the fix working" and now pure silence. EVGA is out of their vacation now. This is not OMG OVERCLOCKING MACHINE. my asus 680 overclocked 150mhz+ easy and that was nothing super duper special like a classified. you would expect a EVGA classified card to be able to easily handle a 100+mhz overclock. lets not forget that EVGA themselves say that the problem is with the bios. They know there is a issue but as far as I can tell classifieds that are being shipped out right now still have the same wonky bios even though apparently they fixed it. It's also possible there is no "wonky" bios and they don't want to admit that their classified is handicapped just for the kingpin Hell people are getting coil whine all over the place. cards crashing with stock bios. I have seen people having their card RMA'd three times and they still got a coil whining card. doesn't say much about the "legendary" EVGA quality that I heard about people with custom bioses can run high overclocks that is true most of the time. but now people are doubting that the warranty will still be valid after flashing the bios with sky's bios or others who got the bios fixed. I know I am acting all pissy for pretty much nothing but the ONLY reason I bought a EVGA this time around was because of people who said how amazing EVGA's quality is and how great the classifieds are at overclocking. with people talking about how much evga talks with their customers(jacob and such) and just all this talk about how Great EVGA is. and then I buy the 780 ti classified. and BAM SUDDENLY bios messed up, people unhappy. mediocre overclocking results unless you flash unofficial bioses. jacob not responding to this issue anymore while people are waiting and complaining(but does respond to people ordering one) EVGA not responding to the issues officially. and so on. but OH HEY EVGA IS MAKING MICE NOW. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVGA needs to stop sucking the kingpin Dcore(imhilarious) and give some attention so honestly I am scared for when I get home to try out my Ti, im scared of having to flash my bios for proper overclocking. I am scared of coil whine. I am regretting not getting the ASUS or gigabyte now that is how worried and shocked I am at the current state of affairs. I should shut up but as somebody who handles customer affairs myself for my own business it kinda urks me to see this stuff being handled this way. TL;DR im kinda whiny I apologise PS: if nvidia is the issue here. sorry but maybe EVGA should work with AMD too. hell I don't see people complaining about AMD restricting voltages and overclocking. but eh.

What's all the complaints about coil whine? I have 3 780 TI Classified and yea they make noise at load but so has pretty much every other video card I've owned for the last few years - and I've owned many. The issue here is the BIOS which needs to be updated by EVGA.

Well it just seems alot of Classifieds seem to have a issue of coil whine. some people get over it but other people including myself expect when you buy a premium for a quality product you expect quality especially when somebody here RMA'd a classy three times and all four of the cards have large amounts of coil whine. you would expect when somebody RMA's three times for a specific issue that they would you know. check the replacement card for coil whine. I never had a GPU with coil whine as far as I can tell so I had to listen to it on a youtube video. jesus christ if the classy is gonna have that noise il ****ing flip my **** haha. COMPLAIN COMPLAIN. still orders the classy backplate.

From the 6xx and 7xx series I currently own 3 780 TI Classified and have owned, in total, 5 GTX 680s. Most, if not all, had some form of coil whine at load. It's not a big deal. What I don't like is when a PSU or motherboard has coil whine though. I don't find that normal - even when overclocking. To each their own I suppose.

whitedragon_ That is how I do it. I OC each card individually then when I put them in SLI I have a good point to start with for OC'ing them together. Your OC in SLI will only be as high as your weakest card. Be sure and have a good quality power supply When you get time it would be a good idea to put your system specs in your signature

Hmm, great idea with the signature. I show my future upgrades as well. I am ready to go home for two weeks. I also found the "Forum style" and changed it to light.. Now it loads instantly, lol

I received my 780 ti Classified two days ago but haven't opened it. I keep thinking about this thread. Upon first finding it, I nearly ordered the Gigabyte GHz edition, but I loved the Classified design and stuck with EVGA. I've 20+ years of video card experience, so I wasn't intimated by the thought of having to use a 3rd party bios to get the most out of this card. The lack of response on EVGA's part concerns me though. I'm now thinking about chip quality, poor binning, etc. If this hardware is all it's cracked up to be but simply needs a bios tweak to reach it's full potential, why is there no response from EVGA? Makes me question the hardware. EVGA, you've always been a stand up company and overall, your fans have faith in you. The lack of response erodes such faith however. If you are not able to release a bios to help this card reach stability when overclocked to only mild levels over reference capability, just say so. If the hardware is okay and you can't do more officially, just say so. I'm leaving my card sealed and will be making a decision today to open or return it. At first I didn't care about having to use a 3rd party bios to unlock this card's full potential. But like many, I'd much rather download an EVGA endorsed bios flash and be done with it. With respect, just say what needs to be said. Whatever it is, just say it. Preserve your integrity..

I am really disappointed at the lack of any response from EVGA so far. How can they feel good about showcasing their products at CES when their current flagship at the moment is suffering so badly? I would also not be surprised if MSI no longer makes an Nvidia Lightning if the stupid Nvidia policies do not change.

It's kinda sad that they have to RMA so many classifieds that they literally ran out of "meant for RMA" classifieds. talks alot about their quality I mean im reading stuff here about reference versions having better ASICs than classified versions. which are supposed to be like top of the line binned GPUs with super OC power. people getting worse results than reference models even though the classifieds should work better than the reference models since they are supposed to be binned. and still no ****ing answer from EVGA. stop trying to shove a crappy mouse in our face and probably saying how amazing the classifieds overclock and the kingpin is BESTGRPHXCARDEVAR. Spend some time on the people who are complaining and are utterly dissapointed in the classified. And it's not like jacob aint here. I have seen him post once in a while but strangely always only in topics of people being happy and people who just bought a GPU essentially ignoring us. the longer this topic goes on the more pissed off I become at EVGA not for my GPU which I don't know yet how it will be but just how quiet they are about this. coil whine, crappy overclocking without a unofficial bios that may or may not void warranty, chips that are worse than reference models for some reason. people having to wait ages for a RMA because they are BEHIND on RMAing classifieds meaning they have an abnormal amount of RMAs. I think sucking the kingpin Dcore is biting them in the ass majorly and you know what is sad? Even after all this **** that is going on people with all these problems with their classifieds will just go and buy the kingpin version essentially just telling EVGA to go on like this till they come up with the 880 kingpin or some ****. I can't return my card since the outer box is gone but if it has a issue i will RMA it once and if it still has a issue(coil whine or something) then I am either just return it or sell it. I don't even know if I want to buy a EVGA card next time now that I have seen how they handle things when there are big issues.

Naennon yea 0 reaction and anything and anyone at evga is doin kingpeeen stuff now some will read this thread and other threads with users complaining about horrible 780ti classifieds - some will not read anything or ignore it and all keeps the same: the evga fanboys will buy and buy and buy ;)
Yeah it's kinda sad how you see people just blindly ignoring the issues. like they will actively say that the proof like the ASICs posted above are fake or something and how we are just whiners. I haven't been here for previous classified releases but from what I can tell this is the first time a classified launch has this many problems(other than the 680 when Nvidia stopped everybody from supporting overvolting).
