Haha, they estimated the 680 nicely.. they said march the 26th, and it came our the 23rd ;).. but would be nice with some estimates! :).. I am going to buy a new card.. i was in fact looking at the 560 classified.. but i am afraid that i will get a lot less for my money with those cards around the corner.. if you know what i mean?.. everything else is gonna drop in price, and the gtx 660 is prob gonna be a lot better than the 560, at about the same price range

When you go down the scale, the market share tend to get bigger, meaning nVidia and AMD take those releases more seriously than high-end because fans are easy sales; the rest are not. I suggest look up previews of previous midrange and see on average how long it took after the first high-end debuted. For instance, GTX460 arrived July 2010 while GTX480 arrived March 2010. Four month split; but the refresh has a closer gap between GTX580 and GTX560 Ti of 3 months. 200 series didn't have a midrange until 55nm G200b showed up 6 months later, 9-series simply dropped in price and got rebranded while nVidia maintained 65nm GTX280/260 above $350. In otherwords, midrange isn't a model name or performance category, it is a price category usually between $200 and $349. Whatever Kepler desktop graphics card appers within that boundary will be called a midrange product. Just so you know, $100-200 gap is mainstream while anything below $100 new retail is entry-level-- for nVidia, the "entry-level" category is under threat because both AMD and Intel APU's defeat the purpose of a cheap dedicated video card. So nVidia will be forced to offer higher performance than they would like to remain competitive.

With a 5GHz CPU, your only issue would be GPU-bottlenecking in games when you max details, well a GTX560Ti is the equivalent of two GTS450's, so better for you. Have you considered a used GTX570/580 from EVGA's marketplace? Given the bandwagoning of GTX680, there are bound to be some good deals. That is, unless you can't wait for HD7800's competitor which could be a hint for you, if you weren't loyal to get the best for your money since Newegg averages them for $250 right now.

The 560 classified is just a wee better than a gtx 570, so would be an option.. but i will look into the evga marketplace to see if there is any good deals.. :).. thanks for the hint :) the 7870 is gonna be the mid range of the ATI cards? :).. i never had a ATI card before, and i heard they have big driver issues :/.. but 250$ doesn't seem bad though regarding the performance in games :P

I've read (rumors) around the web that the 670 Ti will be released sometime in May, and I haven't read anything about the 660. Keep in mind, these are ONLY rumors, but I've seen them pop up on several sites this week. (EDIT: Woot, I've been a member here for 5 years and just now got my 50th post. LOL! )
