Even in Canada the EVGA GTX 980 model 2982 isn't available since last week. I saw it at one location had two of it and since then nothing. Last Saturday I have pre-ordered GTX 980 2982 and no answer yet from them and I was told that it might take up to 3 weeks.

And that there's zero information when the GTX980 will be in stock again is not very customer friendly. It reminds me to Rockstars failure-announcement for GTA V. They told us fall 2014, now it's end of January 2015. Or is this a strategy to raise needs by pushing small crumbs on the market and frustrate the aroused demand to push prices and get more attraction? Ironically the prices are rising and rising while the product is non-existent far and wide. Strangely the ACX Editions are available occasionally for customers that don't mind hot air being blown in the case. So when will the GTX980 vanilla appear on the market generally? I'm not inclined to pay more than €524,00 which is the price offered by a reliable company recently.

Speculation but now that Apple has TSMC producing their chips, wasn't this also where nvidia was having the chips made? I always knew that if this happened, we would be boned. Apple would get first dibs on production fabs.
Asus Strix Z790 F - Intel 13700 K - Gigabyte 4090 Windforce - 32gb DDR 5 - 1TB Samsung SSD 850 evo - Windows 10 Pro - 1TB Samsung M.2 860 - Inland 2 TB NVMe - Acer Predator X27

Agreed! That might be the hidden reason. And no one dares to tell the truth because Apple is holy and beyond criticism. So we have to wait until chips for superfluent tablet-phones are discarded. Better wait for GTX1080 8GB ...

As far as a standard EVGA GTX 980 is concerned those are indeed sold out across Europe but I will continue to search.

Thank you for your efforts. Anyhow I'm over it already . Let's see what the next months will offer may be models with more video ram. Hopefully before December 31th to catch the additional 2 years warranty ...

I have a single GTX 980 with the awesome titan blower heat sink, and there is no way i would pair it with an ACX. Guess no SLI for me either.
