Hi, so I'm having a strange error, and I'm hoping someone can help.

My computer apparently had a windows update (I assume) queued up, and I needed to restart it, so I pressed "Update and Restart." It shut down normally, but then when it booted back up I'm getting the "Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device" error. I restarted a few times, tried to get to BIOS--no luck. Before tearing apart my hardware, I decided to switch to BIOS 2 just in case, and everything booted normally, and the system runs as normal (other than a CPU overclock).

Clearly I'm a bit concerned about this, and am wondering if anyone knows any steps to try to fix or troubleshoot this issue so I can get everything working as normal again.  Thanks for any help.

System Specs in case they're useful:
OS: Windows 8.1
Motherboard: EVGA Z97 FTW
CPU: i5-4690K
GPU :EVGA GTX 770 4GB Classified

    Time for a support-ticket.

Keep your BIOS 2 as it is. I would try to re-update BIOS 1...

This is what you do to restore the bad side.  Boot up on your good bios side using a bootable thumb drive with a good copy of the bios on it.  Run the update utility and wait until the press Y message is up on your screen and then physically move the switch to the bad side and press Y.  It will reflash the messed up bios.  When it is done then you can remove the thumb drive and reboot.  You'll want to reboot on the side you just flashed to insure that it took.  You should leave the side with the lowest bios version alone, never flash it and only update the side with the higher version on it.
