Hi All,

Over the weekend I've put together a Z97 Classified/7970K system.

No issues for me.  Took the Z97 Classified from box, installed 7970K (stock heat sink) and some ram, connected psu, connected usb mouse/keyboard, connected monitor using one of the display ports and then watched it work.  BEEEP,BEEP,BEEP...boots into the UEFI (haha).  Updated 1.02 to 1.05 from UEFI using a fat32 usb...super easy process.  Connected the SSD drives in RAID0 to the Z97 SATA ports 0/1 (Marvell got disabled!)...installed Win8.1 without any problems.  Installed the drivers using the EVGA installer on the CD and a windows update...DONE!  No weirdness, no crashes, no stuck booting...whatever.  Not sure what all the ppl below are crying about???  For me...the Z97 Classified has been totally solid.

My only complaint so far is the BRIGHT white LED...gonna have to cover that up or something...it's way too annoying for me.

Here's what I have so far...still a WIP but you get the idea.

QUESTION
So I have a 60G MSATA installed in the MINI PCIE slot.  My question is regarding the mounting standoffs...are these as intended...the location of the inboard mounting standoff???  It's not a big deal...just seems like an odd location (was this an oopsy by the pcb layout team?). I can't install the one corner screw because the IC on the back of the board hits the inboard standoff.  Maybe a piece of double sided tape will work.  Even though the MSATA is flapping out the breeze...it works perfectly fine!

Lovin my Z97 Classified!
