With the ASUS board getting released already or very soon, I might have to go that route. If EVGA could just say "by the end of the month" Id wait it out.

My Microcenter didn't get the Impact in stock today.  Now my decision just became less easy again

I'm starting to feel silly now as alot of my friends have all gotten the Asus or Gigabyte flavors of the z87 and im sitting here with an i5 4670k twiddling my thumbs

Looking closely at EVGA's upcoming boards, it appears that the Sound Core3D chip on the Stinger and the Classy are completely unshielded.  And the specs don't mention amps for either board. 
 
Any chance you can elaborate on these?  As someone debating between the Impact and the Stinger, the audio solutions are a fairly large selling point.

It's interesting, what is the reason of later availability of EVGA boards compared to ASUS?
Intel should started supplies for all manufactures simultaneously, I think.

If you want an impact like board there is the gene as µATX but without wifi and the Formula as ATX wifi and watercooling block included. It should be noted that the ROG boards have a bad 3D performance compared to other z87 boards. That might or might not be solved by a bios update.
 
If you are looking for Z87 boards in general there are various offerings that have been released since june. Here in europe many of those are releasing under a different part number this month (indicating they are C2). Many people seem to find the MSI Z87-GD65 to be a good board.
 
Of course if there is no urgency to upgrade you should wait for EVGA's Z87 release and see how they compare to other offerings before deciding.
 
Sadly my failing motherboard dictated I had to order a mobo this week so no EVGA z87 for me :(.

Well, they did say release before the end of August or something to that point... I realized next weekend is September.
 
So Im going to wait, 1 more week and cross my fingers.
