CPU: i7 3770K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
Motherboard: EVGA Z77 Stinger
Memory: 1666 Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8
Storage: 2 x Raid 0 Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD,  2 x Raid 0 WD Mech 1TB
Video Card: EVGA OC GTX680 2GB
Power Supply: Corsair HX650

PC ran like a champ for 2 years.  About 2 months ago I noticed it started boot looping. Fans start up, code 4F, Code 10 (PEI Core is started) and restarts.  At first it would boot cycle maybe 6 times and load into Win 7.  As soon as the OS loaded everything ran perfect.  So a week ago I restart and now it boot loops for hours. (Blank Screen)
I started process of elimination:
CMOS: Reset and battery test: RESULT: No effect
CPU: Re seat RESULT: No effect
Memory: Full removal of memory, error code 55 (expected). DIMM 1 ONLY Re seat, swapped both sticks.
RESULT: Board now consistently produces code 55 error after being normalized to original trouble state. Normalization should have produce code 4F, Code 10 Result with restart.  Why now do I get code 55 with boot loop restart???

I am going to swap out to an ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE Motherboard.  I will update thread with the result.  I doubt this is a component failure.

Well, 55 is typically a memory issue.  Whether it's a memory stick going bad, DIMM slot issue, CPU memory controller going bad, bent pin in the CPU socket, or memory settings need to be changed, it's usually going to be an issue within that list.

When you say DIMM slot 1, do you mean the memory slot closest to the CPU, or the first red slot (second from the CPU)?

So I did the motherboard swap from the Z77 Stinger to the ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE.  It booted right up and I did a fresh Win 7 Install. After a week or so the computer randomly shut off.  Upon auto reboot the ASUS Anti Surge Protection notification stated that a surge was detected on the 12v rail. So I started doing some research on the Corsair HX650 PSU. Apparently there are quite a few negative reviews on this GOLD PSU for faulty components. So I did an RMA on the PSU and have been up and running with no problems.  Unfortunately I think Corsair fried my Stinger
