I've looked everywhere and I cannot find a solution to this. I just finished building the build posted below and I connected the monitor to the mini dp port on the mobo via a mini dp to HDMI adapter.

My problem: TV saying there is no signal.

I understand that there are 2 different types of mini dp adapters (active or passive) I don't understand however what that actually means and where I can find an active adapter. I thought DP and HDMI are both digital signals.

Please help.

Finnaly found someone with the same issue ! I have just installed my z77 ftw with the same cpu as yours and am trying to run of of the mini display port to hdmi while I save money for next gpu. First attempts at booting gave me lots of error codes and no signal, finally got to a stage where I have no error codes and it is displaying my cpu temp on the digital display but still no moniter display... Have you resolved your problem ?

That's well known problem with Z77 FTW and different other motherboards with Intel HD4000.
You will find all over net people without signal on monitor, no signal after Windows 7 Loading, no signal or post at all/nothing...
What is problem I don't know...I lived with problem 2 weeks without solution I need HD4000 for simple games because HD5870 overheating... but I had same issue with no signal...
Later I bought eVGA GTX580 just for period until 780.
OK I would bought GTX580 and without signal problem as backup card but I will never know what cause that.
I only know people here had signal with IB and Z77 FTW but problems when they try to OC CPU and of course guys without signal only black screen like me and you...
EVGA say we need to use Active adapters...
Maybe is solution in cable only mini display to HDMI or mini display to DVI without adapters.
I had CPU temp on LED too, and I hear Windows boot but no picture.
And I could turn Internal GPU but only when dedicate card is connected. And that with tweaking little.
In Device Manager I see than Intel HD4000 + dedicate card but only when cable is connected on main GPU.

Something strange appeared on my PC: due to some movement of gpu from one pc to an other, I have to use the IGP right now ( tesla C2075 doesn't support resolution above 1600*1200).

Without Intel driver, a passive adapter from miniDP to VGA works, but after installing the driver, it go black screen at the log-on screen.

Does someone know something about that?

I don't understand why, it's exactly the same problem: miniDp is not working. Except one new element: it is working without the driver.
