My board arrived Thursday. installed new windows 10. It was up and running fine. This morning I booted up the computer and once it got to the home screen it shut itself down.
I waited for a few minutes, hit the power button....nothing. I unplugged the power supply, reset cmos, plugged power supply back in and hit the power button.
Now I just get a post code C, nothing else.
shut down pc, switch to other bios...same thing, post code C.

my manual has nothing listed for a post code C?

Consulted with a tech, going to try another board. There is a reason why I buy EVGA products, their customer support is by far the best in the business.

    Hello,

You may also want to try another power supply as this can also be the cause of the issue you are having

I purchased an EVGA 850 T2 from here on Saturday, hopefully both will ship out and arrive about the same time. Although my current PSU seems to check out by following Johnny GURU's test procedure there really is no way of telling until you put it on a full load. Fan spins with the paperclip test and the 3v, 5v, and 12v all seem to check out using a meter.

I received new motherboard today as well as the new 850 T2 power supply. I get a 23 error code upon boot. Talked to support, they suggest returning cpu, just checking here to see if anyone has any ideas before I go CPU route.

I am watercooling the i7 6700k, they don't send a fan with these things. I have been told not to over tighten, I have been told I haven't tightened enough. I guess if I get a new CPU and I still have errors the memory will be next. I have tried all 4 sticks individually in each slot.

Make sure you have the correct boot drive selected in BIOS.

Yes. RMA'd the board and a new board has arrived and is installed. Now have other issues to sort through, but thanks for checking on this.

Mine was CPU. My suggestion is to not crank down too hard on the CPU bracket, these newer chips bend.

Yes they do, intel is getting cheap with the layers and thermals

Trying to save money no doubt, but I don't think this is the way to do it.

I used to get code c and 23 from from improper automatic voltages, memory timings, or a failed BIOS flash.
