Hi. I just rebuilt my PC using the X99 Classified Motherboard. I'm having a weird issue of the LED on my NZXT Kraken X61 LED staying on after I shutdown the PC in Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Also, sometimes when i choose shutdown the PC will shutdown but after a few seconds power back on. I'm using a Corsair AX760 PSU with 3 Kingston HyperX Savage SSD's. The GPU I'm using is the EVGA 980ti Hybrid with 32GB on Kingston HyperX 2400mhz RAM. I'm haven't done any overclocking with the exception being that I have enabled XMP in the bios. Any thoughts as to why this might be occurring?

Do you have the latest BIOS for your X99 Classified flashed?

Looks like they release 2.02 without me noticing...

No I have not done that yet. That is my first course of action. I am going to do that tonight after work. I didn't know if there is a setting in the Bios I may be overlooking. I will report back after I do that!!

Is your Kraken connected to the USB header on the MB?  That might be it if it is, as the power stays on some of the USB connected devices.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

Yes it is. Is there a way to cut the power to the usb header? It did not do this on my last board that I used from another manufacturer.

I've looked around and tried as I have the same issue with a couple of my devices connected via USB header.  Only way I can shut them down completely is by switching off the PSU unfortunately.  I wish there was a BIOS option to this.

There's a BIOS setting in Advanced -> Power Management called ERP Mode that's set to OFF by default, set that to ON..Only thing is, is that it will affect all USB headers so that charging any devices through USB ports will be disabled.

Another setting is Dark Mode that's set to OFF by default, set that to ON.

One of those two should probably do it, pretty sure ERP Mode will be what turns off the Kraken's light though.

That fixed it! Thanks bob16314! I also failed to mention in my earlier post that my lights on my keyboard were staying on also. Since I don't charge any devices through USB it is not a problem for me to ERP mode on. Thanks again!!

Thank you Bob!  This worked for me as well.  Finally I don't have to bend over every single day to completely shut off my headphones and monitoring bay device.
