*UPDATE* Made some blocks for the X99 Micro 2. A few are ready to ship. email link is in the sig below. ____________________________________________________________________________ I have got a few emails regarding interest. Does anyone else have an interest? I am talking about a low budget (not low quality) no-frills high flow chipset block. The board looks easy enough, and if there is enough interest I can make it happen.

Can we have an indication of the cost? Plus shipping to Singapore as well. How about a VRM block too?

Hard to say, I dont have the board in front of me, so I dont know the sizes of the materials that I need. Also the time to produce depends on the size of the block(s). A single large block, 2 smaller blocks etc. I dont know until I have a board sitting in front of me. I dont own one, so I would need a donor board to measure. What I can say.. is that getting a custom CNC machined part from me..I don't charge anywhere what a shop would charge, but realize your getting a custom made piece that is available no other place. They are generally a bit more then conventional blocks, but your getting a custom made block.

You can try to design monoblock and charge more... On that way people will use only 2 fittings instead 4 and they will have much less problems with water cooling graphic cards. EVGA X99 Micro 2 with monoblock in some aluminum mATX Lian-Li. ...Hmmm... nice. ASUS ROG boards fit better in Silverstone case, EVGA in Lian-Li and Caselabs.

I will need a donor board to measure up and test fit. So far, 3 have an interest: anthony.yarlott SAMART Vlada011 I was hoping to at least have 10 bodies. Hit that number and I will start the design process..

I'm sure we will get the interest, honestly any board I get that does NOT have a block for it, or not a block that really fits my needs, I will go with one of his whenever possible. They are not cheap, but they are really good. Like I have said so many times, sometimes things cost more and in most cases you get what you pay for, there is a reason a Cadillac costs more than a Saturn, or in my particular experience, a reason why Blue Thunder FE intake costed more than an Edelbrok Performer RPM. Not cheap, not nearly as pricey as some others doing custom stuff either, but they work great and look great too.

Would it be possible to get a CAD file of the board Dave? It'd make stuff like this and checking heatsink compatibility much easier.

they dont usually let stuff like that go. Normally I get a board and have to measure it either manually, or place it on my CNC and indicate holes with a delrin rod I made specifically for that tasking.

It's a long shot but I don't see why not for a motherboard. It's not like someone could clone a motherboard from just a CAD model of its physical geometry. Anyway, I have a Micro2 that I'm not using. I was going to sell it but accidentally bent one of the CPU pins. I was able to bend it back but I don't feel comfortable selling it since it doesn't have warranty anymore. If you get enough interest for a block and EVGA isn't willing to provide a CAD file let me know and you can borrow my board for measurements.

I would like to see a mono block I would pay extra for it?? I just like the looks a simplicity of them only requiring two water fittings. If you could include the ram that would be an insane set up, I started on some mastercam drawings but have not finished. Need to get it approved for my senior project, they don't want me to cut acrylic in the cnc mills.

I honestly have no idea until I get the board. A mono block may be possible, but it will drive the cost up. I have done a monoblock for the Stinger board, and it was quite complicated, but it worked like a champ because of the time I put into it. http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2249553 I want you guys to click on that link, and go through the thread. That is the most recently designed waterblock from start to finish. It shows the ludicrous amount of work that I have to do from start to finish. That includes the engineering design, the fixture plate design, the prototyping and fitting, and production. It really is no easy task making these things. Also, you may have more resources to allocate to this project vs some others may only be able to afford single blocks. I try to appease all, but sometimes it just isn't possible. The only mission that all can agree upon is to watercool the board. So having zero options, whatever I come up with will be better then the factory heatsink. By several orders of magnitude.

I did check out your stinger block some time ago, that is what got me excited about you doing a water block for the micro 2. So far nobody makes any I found so it is up to you to start this epic journey.

looks that way. When we hit the 10, I will send out for a small deposit and then start the design process (when I get the donor board) So far the list looks like this: anthony.yarlott SAMART Vlada011 Philwong paulmaddy1 Aibojphobia? (didnt specifically say interested, but had a donor board) Scourge78 So we could be at 7, or 6 depending on Aibojphobia
