Just a couple of posts back, Jacob said that the Classy 2 will get a revision but, "it won't be for a while..". I would put a new revision, at the earliest, around christmas :P

Hey Jacob, just wondering if you know if their will be a significant wait after this board drops for it to be available to us down in Australia. Really looking to build a new PC as soon as possible for work and have been hanging out for this board, but if its going to be any longer than this month will have to look elsewhere.

No news yet. They are announcing everything but the board it seems like. Lol; they giving out 65 grand in prizes, dropping Kingpin GPU, showing new pics of the z170 boards but no updates about the little x99 micro 2. Cant help but feel like we are getting trolled by everyone that says "soon"

Maybe they're just waiting for Asus to beat them to the party with the release of the X99M-WS.
Supposedly, Asus is not releasing their board till September. That would suck if EVGA is leading us on with the whole late July release.

Great to see the improvement for the M.2. You now can use a full M.2 2280 SSD. My only question would be if they went to PCI-E 3.0 for it instead of the 2.0 the classified has.

I noticed that the USB 3.0 header is now a standard (non-right angle) connector. This is going to work better for me with my case so I'm happy about this change.

If someone ask me slot in middle should be PCI-E x4 capable to hold Sound Cards or something else
else and graphic card to work on x16 speed with 28 lanes processors.
How many lanes X99 chipset is possible to provide?
I'm completely lost in different combinations...
Sound Card need PCI-E x1 2.0 to work.

Using the M.2 socket on this board disables some SATA ports so that would mean that the socket shares bus lines with some SATA ports; Ports 4 and 5 I think. You can use a PCIe expansion card like the one that come with the Kingston predator if you'd like to run your m.2 on the PCIe.

They've said this is a 32Gb/s port; that implies a PCIe 3 x4 interface, doesn't it? One of the remaining questions about this board is where the M.2 lanes are coming from. Could the overlap with SATA 4 & 5 indicate a hybrid PCIe/SATA port (which is a thing, I'm given to understand)? This is my first in-depth look at a M.2-featured motherboard, so I'm still sorting this out myself.
This board already has more SATA ports than I will ever need. I will happily sacrifice a couple in order to run a SM951 unbound in the M.2 slot.
