Hi guys.  I believe I have had this issue since I assembled this build a few months ago.  For some reason the BIOS time keeps jumping ahead exactly 3 hours.  This machine is a Windows 7 / Linux Mint 17.3 dual boot.  I notice the discrepancy in Windows because Linux Mint always seems to stick to the correct time.  The Windows time, however, will jump ahead 3 hours within several days of me correctly setting the time in the BIOS.  I then go to the BIOS and see that the +3 time is in the BIOS too.   When I set the correct time, it seems to last several days or a week maybe.

I don't know what is causing the time change.  I am set to the correct time zone in Windows 7.

I am using the most current BIOS version as of March which I believe is 1.20  -  Also, none of the other settings seem disturbed,  just the time at +3.  Thanks!

Check on your Windows Time Service, synchronization, and other settings..Or you can just manually set the time settings..See How to Use "Internet Time" Synchronization in Windows which will probably help.

I've tried using different time servers and whatever I do it still jumps ahead 3 hours at some point.    It shouldn't be changing the BIOSs time at any rate.

Of course Windows can change the time/date settings in the BIOS..Need to check better the advanced time settings..Tutorials in the link above..That's all I can tell you.

    Apparently.
Not trying to be rude but if I could have cured this by checking the settings in Windows I wouldn't have posted here.  I have yet to see a checkbox that says 'randomly set time ahead 3 hours' so telling me to "check settings" and read a tutorial does not help (especially because I already have been through the settings).  Thanks anyway.

I used to run my computer with a dual boot of Windows 10 and as a hackintosh running OS X Mavericks. The computer never had an issue with Windows and time, it would show up as correct in OS X but it would always change the BIOS time. It is likely the Linux having issues with the BIOS. Remember we do not officially support Linux and issues like this can crop up as a result.
