You can see my Rig in my signature, I was wondering if I should drop some $$ and get a new rig.

The only difference is that I have 780 Classy instead of 560ti SLI and a SSD, everything is the same.

Thanks,

I am kind of stuck at X79 because of all the issues I see on the X99 Motherboard from ALL Manufactures.
I did though move ever the new 2011 CPUs i7-4960X for me.
Maybe next year Intel will fix most of the issues with X99 and lower cost for DDR4.
Your EVGA GTX 560 Graphics Cards, I would update them the Two GTX 970 or 980 Graphics Cards Though.

Did you notice a huge boost in performance that is worth the upgrade?

One thing I want to throw out there, you can pick up x5650 xeon cpu for around $70-80 now, and as long as you have rev 1.1 or later you can just drop it right into a e758. This is what I did for pretty much the same reasons as bcavnaugh

I upgraded from Z77 and the difference is noticeable.  Reminder...I clock the 5820K at 3.9 GHZ (moderate) and it is still incredible!  Six cores...probably going to be around 3-5 years.

Interesting, didn't even think about that. I wonder what performance would I get out of this. However, I wasn't able to find this CPU for the price you mentioned.

What issues are you guys seeing with X99?

The only issue I've seen is of the older PSU's not working with Asus X99 Deluxe.  Don't know about EVGA mobos and if they've gotten their crap together.

That is where I got mine, they are people that recycle old severs when a company decided to get rid of them. Means that they were most likely never overclocked, only abuse they may have seen is higher temps. I've had no problems with mine.

There is a motherboard forum, on this site, full of information to answer the question about problems. There are Amazon reviews, Newegg and all. I bought the x99 Micro, and had to send it back for a broken DIMM slot. I bought the classified and returned it because of lack of bios Updates and such. I bought the Rampage V Extreme and have only had one BSOD when I tried to overclock with super low voltage.

My PC now runs like a dream.

I would love to build a x99 system but sadly I don't have the money. Anyone with known x99 issues please continue to post them here. Could be helpful to some.
