So I was thinking, my laptop will support an A10 Richland, so I can swap out my A8 Trinity for it, but is it worth it. Would the extra shaders on the GPU or the extra clock speed be worth it. I use it for light gaming and watching amazon instant video and netflix lol

I tried doing that with my my Samsung APU laptop before but the problem is the increased heat.

Make sure first that you are using the fastest supported memory for your APU. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/memory-scaling-gaming-haswell-richland,3593-12.html

After you upgrade your APU, you would certainly need to undervolt it (Cant remember what the name of the program I used before) but what it does is it makes your APU run much cooler and prevents it from throttling.
