IN all honesty, companies DO, in fact, force you to use MS products. Game support for other platforms is almost nonexistent. 


Again nothing is being forced.  You are making a choice.  Doing nothing is a valid choice also.  No one is sticking a gun to your head a forcing you to buy any gaming products.

If you want to be absolutely certain fdisk and format your drive.  Loosen all the screws and drop into a small marine tank.  Deposit this into a safety deposit box and then destroy the key.
