Is it possible to successfully clone from a hard drive to to M.2 PCIE SSD?
Acronis 2017 seems like an option with driver injection technology.
I've tried ghost, Acronis 14&15, but they don't even see the PCIE SSD.

Use Window 7 Image backup, you will also need to make a change in the registry to change from SATA to SSD.
Then Boot up with the Image Boot Disk and Restore Windows to your M.2. Make sure you REMOVE the SATA Drive that has the OS Now Installed.
    Best of luck.

I gave up with the clone, spent about three days trying many different ways and with alternate hardware. I went with a clean install and had everything running in less than an hour....

For the future, you can use AOMEI Backupper Free to clone to M.2 devices.

I did try that one, along with EaseUSA, Acronis 14/15 and Ghost. Results may vary, but my system is a Y700 Lenovo laptop.

The Samsung migration tool worked perfectly for me with my 950 PRO.
