He said he wants a cheap mobo for folding and his kids, I did not think OCing was a priority. I personally would rather have a brand new one thats never been OCed with a 2 year warranty than a Bstock with a 90 day.

Well, the numbers that you can push with an SMP CPU client scales very well with how much you're overclocking. Bear's an overclocker too, so I'd think it almost a sin to give him a board that'll keep him at stock!

That deal on eBay for the kingston memory is still better than anything on newegg at the moment.

Intel i7 4790K - Corsair H90 - MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX AC - MSI GTX 980 (81.7% ASIC) - 16GB G.Skill 2400MHz - Seasonic X-1250 - Crucial MX100 512GB - Corsair Carbide 500R

No probs Bear! I guess this is what I get for having had ample opportunity to play with lots of hardware.

I have had the chave to run both the p55 FTW mobo and an x58 mobo (758 not 757) and i will have to say for price/ prefromance the p55 is going to win. if you spend some time browsing the evga forums you can find an i7 860 for $150-$200 and prolly a nice 4gb ram kit for $30-$50.  rather then spending about double that on an x58 setup when they both preform about the same.

It will. The P55 Classified 200 has mounting holes for a regular ATX case. The only difference that you'll notice is that the board will be closer to your hard drive cages by about an inch.

Bear, I also hope that you know that the i5-655K is only a dual core.

I know but I'm getting a deal that I can't pass up & the i5 has 4 Threads so maybe it can do SMP folding!

It'll be able to do SMP, yeah, but its performance will be fairly similar to an i3's folding. It's 2 cores, 4 threads; 4 cores 4 threads will always out perform it.

what happened here? New subject to the thread?

@Will CM Sniper fit EATX=no

It isn't made to fit, but may have enough space, although it depends on what you have in your 5.25" bays and how much modifying your are willing to do.

from the edge of the motherboard, do you have 3.4" of space to the 5.25" bay fans? How much space do you have? The EATX is 13" whereas the ATX is 9.6" wide.

Where are you getting you info at cause EVGA site says this for both E-ATX & ATX:
 Form Factor
EATX Form Factor
Length: 12in – 304.8mm
Width: 10.375in – 263.5mm

 Form Factor
ATX Form Factor
Length: 12in - 304.8mm
Width: 9.6in - 243.84mm
