Nice.

My wife has the amd 8350, and it beats my i7 930 - both at stock speeds and almost exactly same other components in the systems.
Its a decent processor for what it is. AMD processors aren't the best, but for what they are they do the job for a reasonable price.

Have decided to go for 2 980 classified to pair with my fx 8350 rig.

Good for you, alvincsr.  I read that article you posted. Good, clean competition is always healthy for consumers. Nobody wants to be a monopoly victim. I'm glad that AMD can provide us "little guys" with comparable gear for a fraction of the price.

May your new computer setup provide you with many years of fun gaming. Game on!

What silly Rabbit would ever waste a dime on AMD cpu garbage? If you got the coin to do Nvidia then step up to the plate and get Intel Inside!

Another article here that shows FX 8350 vs i7 4930k with SLI GTX 980 at 4K resolution. The Fx-8350 triumphed the 4930k on all tests and tied on just 1 test. Now who were the 1 saying FX 8350 will bottleneck SLI 980?

Yeah.
If you up the resolution, the bottleneck is in the GPU side, nor the CPU.
The CPU is less "important" if you game at ultrahigh resolutions as 4k.

I think that Intel has more advantage in 1080p gaming that AMD thanks to better ipc in the Intel's side. If you up the resolution, more stress are put in the GPUs, so AMD starts to eat Intel's advantage.

So for 1440p and up, AMD's CPUs are more cost/effective.
