Good news, finally got the usb to be bootable. I needed a bigger flashdrive. I was trying to use a 256mb one, no dice. went to a 2gb flash drive and it worked fine....anyway I upgraded to the new modded bios and I thought I'd share some findings with you all. These are my SSD's *First Gen Vertex Turbo's in Raid0* after a year and a half of hard use... Here they are after 8hrs of garbage control.*Leaving my comp idling while in the bios screen* Finally here is the same array after the bios update. As you can clearly see I've gained some performance. Also my WEI score for my SSD's went up from a 7.6 to a 7.8. The 'upgraded' Bios even shaved 3 seconds off my boot time. cold boot time was 28 seconds now it boots in 25 :-D~ Job well done to the OP. They really made a big difference. I vote for a BR!

So, this BIOS update will improve RAID performance? I currently have 4 SSD in RAID 0 on a Classified 3 (770) with BIOS 77, will the update be of any benefit to me?

Look at post 61.... Yes, a slight increase in some speeds, a decrease in others. But, is there any actual real-world benefit? To be fair to Alucard and his tests, the speed increase is significant, and the "slight" decrease is a statistical error. What is the need for constant skepticism Yes, there is a real world benefit, and if we could go to the newest RAID ROM the benefit would be significant. I have seen results that have improved read times as much as 20% or more as newer RAID ROMs were used. I have also experienced better performance from my RAID 1 array, faster verifying, and as a side note for those that use eSATA the new JMicron ROM loads significantly faster than the previous. Of course YMMV, but I would be inclined to say that you will see an increase. I am working on possibly getting the ISO version of the modified BIOS ready so that those who have difficulty working with BINs can flash easier. Not that quick to do though so we'll see. By the way, thanks for all your support! Everyone who posted to date thanking me I really appreciate it I'm just glad I'm able to help the community even a little bit

Probably a dumb question, but if I have OC profiles configured, can I just restore them if I upgrade my BIOS? I know I wouldn't normally want to do that when going from an old BIOS to a new BIOS, but in this case I'm going from 77 to 77 with an updated RAID ROM :)

Hey everyone I've reposted the links to the modified BIOS yesterday into the first post of this thread. It should be easier to find that way. I got a couple of requests to email BIOS to people, but you can find it here in the first post without issues. Easier for me and you The download link is below (follows) the description of changes and the disclaimer.

Take one Blue Ribbon from the EVGA staff, cause they are leaving us out in the cold with bios updates for the E759, E760 and E762. I think EVGA's slogan "Intelligent Innovation" wasn't meant for the bios-updates. I am still slightly disappointed that EVGA is leaving us out in the cold and are "wasting" their time only with the newer products. I always thought EVGA was about their customer's satisfaction, otherwise the company would be the same as Asus and Gigabyte...

After 3 months waiting, I have all the right, especially when the Nick from EVGA said there would be no updates at all regarding the X58 and it wasn't possible at all to update the Intel RAID ROM. While dejanh clearly showed it was / is possible.
Do not feed customers wrong information. TY.
//edit
And not everyone uses Twitter, JacobF could have posted in the forum, which is more EVGA-related than some Twitter account.
