Why did graphics cards get more expensive?

A few days ago, EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 card costed 365€, now it costs 407€... why did this change happen?

    From your post I would say Supply and Demand is what is bringing up the cost, Web Sites Charge what the Buyer Will Pay.
     
    Greed from my Stand Point. You would think that todays technologies the cost would be a lot lower.
    But also NVIDIA and AMD Charge a High Premium for their GPU's.
    And I could add that that today's employee demands more money now so companies have to pay out they leave.

    It's because of EUR/US dollar conversion rate. Dollar is actually very strong against euro.

    The Dollar hasn't really changed, the Euro is down. And he was speaking in relative terms.

    Ten years ago and a couple Trillion in debt later. Europe is not that far behind with all the bailouts they are doing or it may be considering. The euro peaked around .55 or .6 per dollar, as the movement has been to more euros to dollars than the reverse.
