I just purchased a 1050G silent series for a build im working on..kind of nervous now!

If it was a major problem, i think we would see more people complaining about 1050G dying on them.

Well same thing just happend to me :(. Tryed to boot my comp nothing turning the switch to off and waiting couple a min make it work again but when i power my computer off it wont work until i turn the switch off again. Tryed another set of cable not working, put my old ax850 and it work without any issue, tryed the 1050gs in my other comp. same issue have to turn the switch off wait and turn on and it will power up until i shut it down. Tryed to use sleep mode same thing wont boot.

How many months ago did you purchase the 1050GS?

Hey that is great for the people who did not buy the same power supply which all have different parts and built different. I'm glad they work. I did not state all EVGA power supplies are bad, but when you know how to build gaming PC's, and you went to school for PC building, and you have done it for 15 plus years, and your PC is not over loaded or abused in any way it just sets perfect and is cleaned well. I mean I'm on my 3rd one of the same EVGA 1050 G in 1 year. Speaks for it's self you know. You guys trying to compare other power supplies to mine is like trying to compare a Corvette to a Camaro. Same company way different set up and parts and built way different, and they perform different too.

Well today i got my replacement 1050g brand new unit sealed install everything do my cable management everything work fine, do i fresh install go to bed, wake up later start playing wow for about 40min, 10min b4 my raid start comp shut down and wont power so since i just installed the new psu am guessing it the probleme try new cable not working put back my corsair ax850 work like a charm. Try the psu tester on the 1050gs turn off eco mode fan dont event spîn guess i got a doa unit again 3rd unit am having issue, this model realy suck first time in 15years am having this kind of issue with a psu.Realy hope evga will give my another model cuz i dont want to mess with this one anymore.

Ya if I have one more go out I'm going to Corsair or Thermal Take and I'll never buy another EVGA Super Nova power supply as long as I live. I read Sea Sonic built all of EVGA's power supplies any ways. Why would a Company like Sea Sonic who makes their own power supplies to sell would want to make EVGA's better than thier own. Makes you wonder.

I have a Seasonic 850 X series that just failed on me. It appears to be identical to the EVGA 850 GS so it looks like Seasonic makes this for EVGA. What is with these PS supply manufacturers? Their reliability sucks big time. All the 105C Japanese solid capacitors don't make any difference. And before all you tech wizards start asking about surge suppression or dust bunnies, I have used a Super Micro OEM ps on this system for years with the same UPS/surge protectors and they never fail after 5 + years of service, not 6 months of intermittent use. I only went with the Seasonic due to the modular cables, and their supposedly good reputation.
