I changed nothing in my client, but I am now working my second regular SMP (A3) WU instead of the -bigadv (A5) I've been running.

I have made no changes to the settings in Tracker V2 any time recently...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

JD

How long has it been doing it? I have seen alot more A3 units lately but eventually pickup -bigadv again.

It's also been asked before and people have commented on the shortage. When you see faces like  and  I don't think it's outta line to throw out the fact that while not high point givers, normal SMP's are still valuable to the program.

One of my systems finished a bigadv last night and then picked up
    2 regular smp's.  10 minutes ago it finally started a 6900.

I haven't received a bigadv since the 24th...  I am getting plenty of crappy 101xx and 6099 on all my rigs.  Stanford loves me this week.

Is there a way to choose the packet size in Tracker V2?

I had this problem in V7 Client until it was suggested to add a slot option for ["max-packet-size"="big"].

I think I remember a way with the standard console clients but not for Tracker V2.

I started having the issue also. One bigadv rig got 2 reg. smp's before getting another 6900.
Second bigadv rig is on it's 3rd or 4th reg. smp.
Third bigadv rig picked up another 6900 right off, no smp's in between.
Fourth bigadv rig still folding 6900's from before this problem started happening with me.
Been getting nothing but bigadv's for a couple of months now before this.
This is the first time I've got the reg. smp's with my current settings.
Server stats show no problems with the the server that sends the 6900's.
    Wonder what's up.

Still, I'm having a blast with this TZC. More stats to checkup on. Very cool.

I just quickly looked at the server status page at Stanford and it does appear that there is a limited number of "big" units available. It's luck of the draw if you get one or not.
BigAdv only gains me about 3000ppd over regular SMP , so I run SMP as I only have the one rig and it allows me to 'oneunit' so I can game without killing my PPD.
That's the one downside to 4core/8thread cpus; they just can't keep up with the pure power of 6/8 core machines on the bigadv units.

I`m getting -bigadv WU's currently running a 6900, but no -bigbeta. Any thoughts on that?

I have the same symptoms here. 5 consecutive 6900's and now on my 2nd regular smp.
It's all good in my opinion.

I was getting nothing but 6900s before, now all I've been getting are just SMP units. Aw well keeps my PPD over 55k.

I will either find a way, or make one.
