Probably I got the worst one ever. Max boost only 1,974 MHz. Can't go any higher than +125. It's the EVGA Founder Edition. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8816013
I'm going to throw it in thrash.
Anyone unable to go beyond 2000 MHz ? haven't seen any, everyone I saw went over 2000 MHz

Honestly, 1974 Mhz is not a bad result for an overclock on any GTX 1080 card. We cannot guarantee any type of overclock you can get on the graphics card, but that is a fair result even if it is not record setting. 22k on the graphics score of Fire Strike is also a fair result.

That extra ~25Mhz would maybe get you 0.5fps extra..    I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I can't believe people are upset about 1900Mhz+ overclocks...     That's a massive gain over last gen where some Maxwell cards could barely do 1400Mhz+.  My 980Ti which I sold couldn't overclock at all really, ~1390Mhz was about the max I could get before getting artifacts.

I agree, but it's odd that he only got a 22K score? I was getting regular 21.5K graphics scores on my 980 Ti Hybrid. And that's only at 1482MHz.

2038 is the highest I've seen stable on my 1080 FTW. That's a +75 since it already comes overclocked. As soon as I go over 2050 I start getting display driver crashes.

Looking at review, even cards that are pushing 2100 mhz is really only getting 3-4fps better at best compared to stock founders editions. I feel in the grand scheme of things the difference between stock reference and the OC'd AIB cards are going to be much smaller than they have been in the past.

At this point I would tend to agree but you never know once the Classified or Hybrid come online.

I seem to boost to 2088 or 2100 pretty consistently in my sli set-up (stable).  To the OP, I would not spend much time worrying about it.  That is still a nice OC and the card is still deadly fast.

Yep, I've seen several (in these forums no less) in the 1900 to 1950 range.

    Welcome to the silicon lottery.

My card can hit 2,1 not sure if it stable pretty sure it is cos it can handle atleast 1 2 minutes at 2,2 before it crashes, gpu voltage does't seem to move at all though so maybe once evga precision or afterburner is out beta people can push it further.

One of my 1080s was average and the other was pretty nice!

    1st card
Benching I can hit 2088 and make it through Heaven and Firestrike, Although Gaming over long periods of time It drops to 2050 to keep temps in line.

    2nd card
Benching I can hit around 2150 and gaming I have been able to maintain 2100 clocks for extended periods of time.

In Sli I can run benches at around 2050 and gaming is usually 2012. Im sure this is due to the extra heat in the case from 2 cards.

Both cards really never break 60c on their own and when both are in my case after a few hours they were running around 66c.

Oh my... that's moaning on a high level. Every vendor guarantees you a base- and a boostclock. Everything about that depends on the silicon-lottery. - Don't worry and enjoy your card.

Exactly. Plus, I don't remember reading anywhere on the web saying that Nvidia gave us the freedom to overclock to whatever we wanted to.... If anyone has an article on that, please post. Thanks.

Not to mention, people are so ungrateful aren't they? Maxwell had a stock clock of 1126 and now Pascal has a clock of 1800. People need to learn gratefulness.... just saying.

My point of the thread is to see who got the worst overclock card.. So far nobody reported lower overclock than my card. even search the entire web, no card can't hit 2000 mhz. I'm no means pointing finger or bashing any one. it will make me feel better if I'm not alone.

The only thing I can add to have you feel better about your purchase is that if you are having really good FPS in your games, I would not worry about anything.

I had an FE that hit the exact same numbers (1974 mhz).  The funny thing is I originally had this card in an SLI setup and both cards would run from 60 - 70 % utilization and boost above 2000 mhz.  This card would hit 2012 mhz and the bottom card would hit 2050 mhz.

When testing the top card by itself (99% utilization), I could only maintain your exact clocks.

The second card (originally bottom), was able to hit 2050 mhz stable by itself - just goes to show the silicon lottery.

At the end of the day, I ended up selling both and getting an ASUS Strix Gaming from Newegg.

Actually my card boosting is much lower than 1974. Around 1875 to 1936 when stress testing with Firestrike
it only reach 1974 for like a second or so then throttle back down. Even temp are ok (around 75 C ) fan at 75 %

I don't think you should be focusing on the 3d mark general score but on the graphic score.
With that being said my EVGA goes up to 2075

This is because your CPU is not overclock at higher than 4.5GHz as pointed out above #14
    http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/8768084/fs/8816013/fs/8846776
    CPU Clock R8_AN94BALLER 4,707 MHz  (OP) icecpu 4,398 MHz ||BOD||TekLord 4,798 MHz

Increase your CPU to 4.5GHz or 4.6GHz or even 4.4GHz and rerun the stress testing with Fire Strike
You may also have an unstable configuration.

No one is going to Post a "worst overclocked card" or Score, what would be the point.

    Your Crackin me up man:)

Don't get all hung up in numbers. it's the performance and what we see on the screen in gaming and in other application that matters. I'm totally happy in the 1950 to 2015 range. My Flight Sim has been the smoothest I've ever seen it, and that's coming from a 980ti to this.  I haven't seen any visual micro stutter since being on the 1080 FE.

I slapped +150 base and +450 mem clock on my 1080 SC, and initially that seemed to work, but playing The Division or Killing Floor 2 I'd sometimes get a driver crash, so I backed off a little. I think I'm finally at like +110 base/+400 memory and I've played for 2-3 hour stretches in The Division with no more driver crashes.

That's good enough for mostly High settings at 4K, with performance in the 50-60 fps range, usually upper 50s to 60 fps, but occasionally I've looked up in particularly busy outdoor scenes in the DZ and see it hit 49 fps. I haven't looked yet to see what setting I can drop a little to keep it at 60 fps. I'm using an old cpu, so that might be costing me a few fps. My cpu is a Xeon 5680 (32 nm, released in 2010), 6-core at 3.3 GHz, and it's currently running at stock speed.

In Overwatch I'm exceeding my monitors 60 Hz refresh rate at max settings, so that's all good in the hood.

How much is the overall memory oc that people are getting? What value at memory should I start? +400, +500?

    Thanks

...even search the entire web, no card can't hit 2000 mhz.

Well, as you see, Nvidia - as usual -, has done his marketing... ^^

    Edit:...

As usual? Not sure what you mean by that, but if you're claiming that Nvidia has done "tactics" to prevent you to overclock to whatever you like... Do you blame them? Do you really think they can trust the average user to not come back and sue them for burning a house down due to user neglect because Nvidia let them overclock to whatever setting? Yeah... this is why they don't let you do it bud.

My GTX 1080 FTW delivered today. I've been overclocking and benchmarking all evening. So far, using MSI Afterburner 4.3.0b4, I've been able to achieve 2075 core clock and 1325 memory. That's +115 and +300 respectively, with a power target of 120% and custom fan curve. I crashed at 2101 so I backed it off a little. Running Heaven for over 1 hour at 1440p and maxed settings has not caused a driver crash or system hard lock.

I'd call stable 2075 really awesome, especially on air cooling. Temps hanging around 65°C.

Totally Agree,  anything more is icing on the cake with these, Esoecially the FE's.
