The first one, but those monitors are super hard to get I heard. It's the best of the best out there right now is why. G-sync and 144mhz refresh rate

Though I doubt your 780 ti would be able to handle a solid 144FPS on new games with all settings maxed

I don't see what's unreasonable about that comment regarding frame rates? 144FPS is going to take some serious hardware in the latest games running max settings.

That is just it, I cannot tell if he is being sarcastic about my cards as in making a joke that they are not powerful enough or he is being condescending and saying my video card choices are crap.  I know the new 980 cards are awesome. But his comment almost sounds like my 780 Ti Dual classified are nothing more than paperweights. Sure they were not the top of the line cards, but by no means were they the bottom of the barrel.

I think the PG278Q is the best monitor out of those 3. I really like this monitor but since you ask for the problems I will tell you now what is a bit annoying.
 * Power cable is extremely short so the power brick is on my desk and looks messy.
* Fast moving objects sometimes have a green ghost.  This was very bad at default settings but I don't notice it now after tweaking colour and contrast settings.
* G-sync relies on NVidia drivers to work. For example, if you have both Maxwell and Kepler GPUs in the same machine then g-sync doesn't work (NVidia have stated this will be fixed with the next driver).  Naturally this affects all g-sync monitors, not just the pg278q
 I didn't know about any of these problems when I bought the monitor and was a bit disappointed on the day I set it up.  I didn't return the monitor since the benefits far outweigh the negatives.  I've had it 4 months now and overall am very happy.

Thank you very much for this. Weird that for such an expensive monitor. They would skimp on the length of the cord. hmm I tend to use my monitors at default and that would just suck to see green ghosting but am glad you can fix it. I can live with the power brick issue. So far it is still in the lead. Unless this pg279q has something up its sleeve. I am in no rush to get the new monitor as it will last me for a long time or till it dies out so am taking my time deciding. Thank you very much for the input.

I'm not going to 4K with anything less than a 55" screen that supports display port. I saw one on Black Friday for $900.
 
As for the comment on the refresh rate. Yeah... you will be around 60FPS or so with very little AA in most games.

We won't see 144FPS in games till one or two more generations of video cards. We also need more VRAM. Current games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is capable of using 6GB of VRAM on just 1080p.

Personally I would go with the Swift.  I have used some 4k monitors and they look great.  but, 1440p +1ms +144hz +GSync is amazing, at least to me.  It does not have the color of a Dell UltraSharp IPS, but it is good none the less.  But for gaming, so many other things about the Swift all make things so much nicer, I noticed when I got up to 120+hz I had WAY less eyestrain at the monitor, also scrolling text no longer was nearly unreadable (I have some odd eye issues and I am VERY dyslexic, so I am sure those play their parts as well), and I have wanted GSync since I first saw the side by side demo at Blizzcon 2013.
 
That would be my choice, but to be honest, I don't think there is a bad choice out of the 3 you mentioned.
