Hi all,

I just recently bought a 980TI Hybrid... It runs fantastic but i get some problems with GPU power throtling, which gives me sttuters and core throttle aswell when OC.. I have read that with a modded BIOS that can be fixed, but my problem is that all modded bios I have found is for BIOS 84.00.32.00.92 or something but nothing for 84.00.41.00.90....... which is the one that come with new batches

Can you please help me pointing me where I can find 1 modded BIOS for 84.00.41.00.90 or can anyone disable boost for me and increasing the power limit?

Im been looking a couple of days with no luck and im really interested on this....

Thanks in advance and sorry 4 my poor english.....

Cheers

Change power management mode inside the nvidia control panel to prefer maximum performance under the game profile you're currently playing. Yes, 1.250v is the max allowed inside the vbios.

Did you reboot your computer after setting it to prefer max performance? If no, you need to reboot your pc and retest. Are you running my vbios as well?

The TDP Base Entry, 3D Base Entry, & Boost Entry must all be set to Entry #0 to disable boost. Having the first voltage slider set to 1250mv vs 1281.3mv & the P0,P2 slider set to 1250mv vs 1275mv shouldn't have made any difference in the throttling.

The reason for the throttling in your log is because the gpu wasn't being utilized for some reason. No utilization (no load limit) = 1 = clock drops.

Hi again.....

I cant manage how this Tweaker works!!!!. I have my stock BIOS and ONLY modify voltage table as the image shows 4 upper posts to 1250 in both slicers ..only that saves changes... flash it ... reboot system ....open a game ..... and vcore boost or startse at 1586!!!! Obviously game freezes... driver crashes!!!!

How can this be posible???? I do a default in Afterburn and doesnt make any difference.... What im missing??

Thanks in advance

Edited.- I think EVGA Precision was working in the background.... i Defaulted the GPU there aswell and looks fixed....

I borrow this thread a bit.
I used the bios @Sajin provided, but unable to extend overclocking.
I can't see that the power target would have moved, if I look through Afterbuner.
Hitting the ceiling even with Uniengine Heaven. (110%)
I have evga Hybrid also with the same never bios (samsung memory).
Max core clock is somewhat low 1440 and mem 4000
