I was a big fan of Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES
I've played just about all of them except for the very 1st street Fighter I've even played that horrible FX or EX or whatever it was called and the one based off the movie

Speaking of SF, which reminds me of Daigo Umehara, arguably the best & most popular SF4 player in the world. He won Evo 2009 championship beating Justin Wong as well as Gamestop's SF4 national tournament this year. His top pick is Ryu which I like to play.

Anything besides Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct for snes is just child play. Street fighter is wayyyyyyy over rated.

Killer instinct and Mortal combat ppppffffff NO WAY!!!!! thats why they pretty much extinct series. Streetfighter and Tekken all the damn way. Throw in a Soulcalibre for warm-ups and its all good.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 was my favorite of the series and genre.
Soul Calibur was a distant 2nd to this.
Too many of the tekken games felt too "tapper" ish to me to really get into them and virtua fighter was a superior fighting game between the two.
I had fun with samurai showdown, even though it was a rather simple execution for a game. I didn't really get into the king of fighter series.

street fighter dies along time ago, the reason you dont see develpers making mk or killer instinct is because they dont want to soil its name like they did to street fighter and any other janpanese fighting games, classic bahemoths need no remakes, ki and mk ftw anything else is over rated.
