Just got my two brand new 1080 FTWs from RMA. I also bought a Titan X Pascal while I was waiting for these to arrive. The SLI cards will out benchmark the Titan and give more frames, but not by too much. Given the hit or miss support for SLI in games I'm not sure it's worth it. I can OC the Titan with a Hybrid DIY mod and get great results. The FTWs would be left on air because I don't want to have two more radiators in the case.
Display is an Acer Predator X34 @ 3440x1440 and 100hz.
Mobo is Z170 so I'm limited to the SLI cards running at 8x each only thanks to Skylake.

Yes.. sli on the newest games don't happen this year so far! I'm pretty upset as I have ever 2 1080 classifieds water cooled and all its good for is benchmarks!! I'll give it a few more months and then it's time to sell one!
Also the last thing you want is 2 non foundation edition cards in sli as they will cook eachother on air!
So to me it's an easy call there.. stick with the Titan xp. Wish I would of went with thst myself now.

SLI has worked on most of the games this year and works flawlessly on BF1 o.O

I'd sell the FTWs and keep the Titan. It will be sweet for your display and you won't have to deal with any SLI BS. I used to be a big fan of SLI but instead of getting better like I hope it would, it has just been getting worse.

Well that's unfortunate. Guess I'll post them on eBay and Craigslist. Figured I'd offer evga stuff for sale here first though.

I think you should keep GTX1080 SLI. For such big monitor you will need them. I think difference between GTX1080 SLI and TITAN XP is not so small.

the SLI support is getting worse and worse, I'd just go with the Titan X Pascal.

I would go with single card, but this time I think GTX1080 SLI is better for 4K. I mean real thing is TITAN Pascal SLI for 4K. That's for smooth gaming but how much is TITAN stronger than GTX1080... 30-35%??? If GTX1080 SLI can't be 40% stronger than SLI is really bad.

Nice problem to have;) eBay would be my first choice over CL but make your move quick because if the purported 1080Ti comes out all of those cards are likely to drop in value

Yes make decision fast. TITAN is attractive because it's premium model and stronger chip than GTX1080. Is it enough for 4K, I don't know?

I'd get rid of the 1080's asap before the 1080Ti comes out. The 1080 pricing will most probably get a massive hit.
