I managed to preorder one and it requires 2x 8pin.  I have a native 8 pin and 6pin from my PSU but need a second 6 pin to use the 2x6 -> 8 pin adapter pictured.  The 980Ti FTW comes with a 2x4pin to 6pin adapter plus a 2x 6 pin to 8pin adapter.  I need this configuration but it currently is not shown on the product info page for the 1080 FTW.  I can order one cheaply but why waste money if one is included.

Hello and welcome to the forum. What PSU are you using that doesn't have more than two PCIe power cables?

An older antec 650w unit.  Maybe 4-5 years old.  Its more than up to the task for a single GPU rig, I just need some cabling adjustment.

If your power supply does not have an 8 pin + 6 pin + 6 pin then you will have to upgrade.   Like if you only have a 8 pin and a 6 pin coming from the PSU itself.

Because you need two separate 6 pins to adapt into one 8 pin.

Okay. Generally speaking, the site is pretty accurate regarding what adapters come with the GPU. Unless you've got some really old drives using all your Molex connectors, this should work fine:

I don't have to upgrade, I need to repurpose the available lines.  The 980Ti comes with adapters for this exact situation.  I have 2 spare 4 pin molex lines plus some other ones. Each of these lines can source up to 60W on the 12V line add that to the 6pin and the 8 pin and I can dump 150 + 195 to a card that will not draw more than 225.  I just need to know if the 1080 FTW comes with the same connectors that the 980Ti FTW does so I know if I have to spend a couple bucks on ebay.

I'd call up EVGA's support number and ask them since they make the card, and no one has one yet: http://www.evga.com/about/contactus/

I was thinking the site might not be accurate because there is a disclaimer about accessories changing and being less than 24 hours after paper launch, pictures and details may have been rushed out before things were finalized.  As for this connector pictured, I would prefer bringing down 3 independent 12V rails for the 8pin but in the case of the 1080, it doesn't need that much juice and this would work just fine.  My 6pin is actually a 150W 6 pin with 3 rails and I could get by with a 6 to 8 pin.

It's all moot now as my non gaming unit is kicking it with maybe a 15 year old PSU from the days of IDE drives and I had a 2x4 -> 6 pin adapter left over from the days where had a Radeon card.  This along with the 2x6 to 8 will get me there with no hassle.

Good PSUs are meant to last, they just get frozen in time when it comes to connection options.  I have yet to run one into the ground, though I have tossed some ****ty old ones due to lack of capacity.

It's sad that someone pay 600-700$ for graphic card and complicate with old PSU models.
EVGA 750 G2 cost 109$ on Newegg and I would not risk with shine new graphic card with some old multi rail PSU...
With graphic card I would get one more box, in same time, with proper 750W PSU.
She will work and with 650, but 750W is better because it's long investment.
Who knows how work some not used old rail, why to melt new graphic card and motherboard.
Really bad to complicate, 89$ after Rebate, yes that's PSU with 5 egg customer experience on Newegg.

Yea, it's sad that PSU is 1/7 of GPU Price and someone pay shipping for connectors instead to order brand new Gold PSU for below 100$, silent, efficient, with Eco Switch and full black cables and long, long warranty.

If you've got the Antec 650 Trio, it is essentially a single rail design even though it claims to have 3 rails. So basically, whether you use two or three is irrelevant as long as you're not exceeding the load capacity of the connectors.
