Thanks Knight for your post about the sniper rifles, I'm gonna play around with that.
My miserable stats haven't updated in a while too, it sill says I am at level (?) 7 with my last update 3 weeks ago. I'd say their servers are getting hammered with all the interest in this game.

good luck TaintedShirt. Here are a couple of other suggestions...make sure to bind the "Spot" action to some convenient key - for me it was the middle mouse button press. Spotting gives you so many extra points and it helps you track some enemies if they move while you are reloading the rifle. Typically, what I do is I keep pressing the spot button all over the place while I'm zoomed in...sometimes I get lucky and see an enemy that I would normally not see and to it helps. The, other thing I like to do now, is to hold back a bit on defense and if we are overrun, I try to get behind the enemy and take out their snipers with stabs, etc....it is fun - or take out their helicopter when they think they are safe. The other suggestion I have is that in some Rush rounds, the mcom stations are in buildings that can be collapsed...so if you can collapse the building using mortars then it destroys the mcom station. Some maps I heard you can run your tank into the building and take it down - I think port valdez, the first building (A) in the snow. Usually it takes 4 to 5 mortar attempts to get it ... know that your mortar resets in about 46 seconds.
On RUSH Valparaiso...if you are attacking and you get past the third set of MCOMs and are going to attack them on the hill, as a sniper hold back on your hill and do spotting and long distance sniping and mortar hits - go down your hill a little and hide behind those rocks overlooking the bottom base that your team just cleared. Usually they can't see you through the thick brush, but just make sure everyone has cleared out already so you don't get backstabbed.

Anyone else having trouble getting updates at Statsverse.com ... for some reason I'm constantly in the queue, and I had it get down to 10 seconds once, before it went to 35 seconds, then 4 seconds, then 55 seconds, then 3 minutes, then 1 minute, etc, etc, etc....now it is at 3 hours and it keeps jumping around...it has been over 21 hours since I got an update.

The game needs an update soon...I've had so many little annoyances that they are starting to add up. The latest was getting 3 gold stars (worth 5000 points) but only getting point credit for 2 of them. I had that happen before when I had 2 gold stars but got credit for only one. Makes it hard to level up if big point chunks like that get stolen from me. The other annoyance is getting a server list, seeing 27 of 32 people on, trying to get in and being told that server is full, so you hit refresh, see 27/32 again and again it fails...come on, fix the damn browser

If the server has reserved slots it will say it is full.
So much work to do... someone has to do it.

I have some other questions...
1) when you join a server and start a game, is there a way to tell which server you are on? I mean, say you hit escape to see the menu, I don't see a place telling me which server that is or to be able to add it as a favorite, etc...kind of annoying especially when you get kicked by some dip****e admin for no apparent reason and I want to know who it was.
2) You see the chats on the left side of the screen...is there a way to see the chat history? For example, is there a way to access the console like you could in Quake/Unreal Tournament/etc, and see the scrolling text and kill history.
3) Can we please fix the spawn sniping/killing crap that goes on in this game...it blows. Also, you stupid medics you freaking revive me in the middle of a gun fight just so I can get killed again, and then revive me yet again, so I can get killed a third time in 5 seconds... yeah, you know who you are...GO SUCK IT!!!

1) Agreed, it is annoying not know what server you are on. But, you do have the History tab to see where you have been. 2) Agreed, not being able to see chat while dead or see what you missed is VERY annoying. 3) As someone who plays medic a lot I understand why some would do this. Medics have a limited time to revive you, so some of us try to get you up asap and then try and give cover for you to move away, if possible. I repeatedly revive people when I'm on the Attacking team to save tickets and maintain a forward front. It doesn't happen a lot with me since I'm usually able to kill the guy killing the person I'm reviving or they kill me. Yeah it sucks for the K/D but when the server is full defense has the advantage due to the ticket count.
So much work to do... someone has to do it.

LOL, #3 Yah, it happens, but at the same time I have killed the guy who just shot me. Sometimes meds don't always know when the area is clear, but I try and do this first. Actually, the part that sucks is how the game works. In 2142, and I think BF2, the shooter is credited with the kill each time, but the victim is not counted as a death if revived. Peeps would get upset if it happened in those games, but now it is even worse, so I can understand the frustration. I prefer the old style myself.

Well it has been out for ten days now. I have to say since the official release I have not played one minute of any other game. It has totally sucked me in, Did you find it to be more addictive than MW2?

Funny you brought this back up cause I started playing it again this weekend after a several months dry. Best multiplayer shooter of all time IMO. CoD4 is 2nd place but more of an arcade-style fun.

I had been on about a 3 week layoff from BC2 as I was playing Crysis and Portal 2.
Started playing BC2 again the day before yesterday and it is still awesome. I still think BF2 is the best game of the series, but obviously I'd rather play BC2 as it is more modern and up to date.

Just got my 2nd and (hopefully in the mail today) 3rd 120hz Samsung monitors to play BFBC2 in 2D and 3D Surround! Still an awesome game that gets most of my game-time!

This is the one game that I keep coming back to. I just can't seem to get enough. And this game is much more fun when you get on mumble I won't stop playing this game until BF3 comes out.

I definitely like the game when I have a "team" instead of a bunch of people that happen to shoot at the same targets. When I play with a few friends with voice chat and we coordinate, work togethor, etc., the game is great.
I still don't like bigger than 24 player games, they just seem too cluster-f like.

Best FPS i've ever played.
