I think those parts I listed were from my first legit PC build.. AMD Athlon x2 3000+ cost me like $300 bucks. Sadly AMD wasn't very competitive after that chip.

I used to have a 680i motherboard registered as well, but must have removed it since I gave it to a friend when I built my next system.  I think I might actually still have the 8800 laying around somewhere in a box though.

First bought a 9800GTX+ for my first PC upgrade from a Sparkle 9400GT (yeah the one that can Almost play counter-strike 1.6 at 70-80fps) but the moment 400 series came out, I immediately jumped on the 470 during my bus ride home haha
Upgraded to a 760sc acx dual few weeks ago, finally no more crashing and low fps on graphical game :3
Thinking of stepping up to a 970 just because evga-love but im debating that choice for the sake of money and performance over the next few years

I had a 7600 GT and 8800 GT that I never registered prior to my 9800 GTX. I just took the 9800 GTX out of service a few months ago when I replaced it with an unused GTX 560 Ti.

    Dang you beat me!
Didn't even own a PC then.
Did have an Amiga 500 though since it was the best computer for games at the time
Had full color and other multimedia features like audio. The only competition was the apple mac but just like today they were way too expensive and couldn't afford one back then
Anyways as far as PC goes I"m pretty sure I got one of the first GeForce 256 Nvidia cards back in 1999 at some Gamestop at that big mall by the Pentagon in Arlington when I was in the Navy. I remember almost going with a Voodoo card since that was the best for performance at the time and only one that supported their Glide API but I think the Nvidia card have better DirectX at the time and more PC games were using it so I think that's why I went with it and the price too. Was still a couple of hundred back then too tho so that doesn't change much from today's video card pricing
First thing I did was fire up Quake to see it in it's full 3D accelerated glory and was totally worth it! My friends didn't get what all the hoopla was about and why I would spend so much on a video card. That hasn't changed either since
Anyways, the first EVGA card I bothered to register and still shows up for me is:
    Part Number: 512-P2-N570-AX
    Description: e-GeForce 7900 GTX
    Place Purchased: EVGA StepUp
    Date Purchased: 4/5/2006
    Date Registered: 4/11/2006 3:00:53 AM

As you can see it was a step-up so I think it was a 5000 card I stepped up from.
