Long story short, bought and received a 980ti Hybrid last week but it makes a loud buzzing noise.  So I PAID $40 and did the 2-day shipping advanced RMA and just received my replacement today.

I just opened it and found THIS!  (which you can still see the plastic packaging, so I literally only opened the lid)

****?!  So NOW what do I do?  Do I have to do ANOTHER RMA?!  It says I have 14-days to send back the original broken one once I received the "replacement", but what do I do when the replacement is damaged?!  This is ridiculous, my opinion of EVGA is dropping quickly.  What's worse is I had to take off work to be home because they REQUIRE you sign for the replacement!  I am seriously ticked off right now.

(On a side note, I though it was weird they sent me an entire new Retail package as replacement, as all their wording about RMA's says they would just send you the unit and nothing else, and they did not want anything extra back.)

EDIT: I should point out the package is 100% fine, no damage, no punctures, nothing.  So this clearly happened at the factory and was packaged and shipped this way.

This won't effect performance at all in any noticeable way. I know it is unsightly, but you can straighten those fins very easy.

Contact EVGA if it bothers you that much and send them the picture and show them.

You can straighten those out pretty easy. I use a zip tie and just run it through once. It clears up pretty nice.
It shouldn't be damaged out of the box though. Just a rough grip can do that pretty easy on those cheap coolers.

Yea, I honestly wouldn't worry about that. it happens and it's pretty easy for that to happen. I had several like that on my Corsair H110i GT. I know it's very annoying but it won't affect anything.

You are right, damage is only visual. Radiator function is not damaged.
In that case I would try how card behave, maybe someone back some incredibly good sample like that.
