Halloh there!!!

I am sorry if this was posted else where, but I couldn't find the answer for what I am looking for what so ever.

I was wondering what are the fees that Canadians will be paying for if directly ordering from evga.com and delivering to a Canadian address.

Lets put the GTX 980 TI Classified as an example which is $459.99. What will I be paying for on top of that?

Thank you!

basically you pay the taxes you would pay in the province which the card is shipped to.
on top of that depending on which carrier is used to ship the card you also pay a customs handling fee.

The worse carrier for fees is UPS.  which varies on the level of service used IE UPS ground vs Next day service etc. and the value of the item they are processing.

Cheapest way is via USPS as Canada post charges a 5 dollar fee for customs processing.

    Cheers

Well, lets use the 1080 I just bought. The shipping was $68 US ($88 CAD) as UPS was the only option. I was also on the hook for tax and duty. Both of them added up to almost $100 CAD. The only reason I order from evga direct is the bucks from folding. You are much better off ordering from newegg or ncix. But, because of the evga bucks I only ended up paying $300 CAN all said and done for the gtx 1080 sc, which is super awesome.

So are you saying that for the SC you paid $649.99+68= $717.99 US = $926.93 Cad + $100 taxes/custom (UPS) fees = $1026.93 or there about? Well I mean would have if not for the evga bucks? I just wanted to be sure I am saving enough getting it local and not getting it through evga.com.

You didn't pay any handling fee to UPS ? Just tax/duty ? If so you're lucky.
Also it might be cheaper to use http://crossborderpickups.ca/ if you're in GTA, they forward your package here and the fee if very small.

Ok, well I might have to wait longer, which really sucks hard, but my total for my pre-order is "only" $929.24 so I think I will stick with that. Man I really hope it is this week.

Forgot to add, I paid for the better shipping insurance and warranty. Mine would be the same price as the ones from newegg and memexpress.
