Shh, I know I'm not suppose to be on here

But my mom wants me to order some CD-R's on NewEgg, and since I'm currently taking a break, and building my custom case, I need fans, so I figured I'd buy them too, so we can split shipping.

Now for the case. It will have these fans below: (And yes, the 580 Classy, and CPU are on water, so I don't need massive airflow).

1x 120mm rear-exhaust (Main case)
1x 200mm top-exhaust (Main case)
however man intakes on the front (I was thinking two 120mm fans)

And then I have a rad/PSU compartment on the bottom, so I will place one 120mm fan in the front of the case for that, but will the psu be an exhaust, or do I need other fans somewhere? See the image below for what I mean.

See I will have one 120mm rear exhaust fan, and two 120mm intake fans, then one 120mm intake fan on the very bottom of the front for the PSU compartment. Now will that be okay?
And I will have a 200mm or so for the roof (exhaust).

Also these fans look great for CFM, noise, etc. But are they good? I don't want anything really loud. I have 3 Gentle Typhoons for my rad, and those would be too loud for the case I believe.

Anyone? Once I know which fans, then I can place my order. Also for the 200m fan, I'm prolly gonna go with the Cooler Master one, since it's the only 200mm with really good reviews.

Lol well thanks bro, and yeah I'm not on here  Just needing help with fans, so I can buy them, then I'm gone. Plus I think the Black November NewEgg sale takes 20% off fans, so that'll be nice.

I wanna buy from the Egg.

Also what's your recommendation on case fans? Are those in my OP good? They have good reviews, etc. But just curious.

Antec and Cooler Master 200mm fans use different mounting holes so they are not interchangeable.  Antec Big Boy 200mm fans have dual ball bearings which are far greater than the sleeve bearing solution in CM 200mm/230mm fans.  Sleeve bearing fans don't live nearly as long especially when you consider the fact that you can't lube them on most fans, plus they will struggle to perform on the top of your case.   I have a Cooler Master 230mm fan (which is the same as the Megaflow in build quality and blade length) suffering from bearing failure right now.  It has been less than two years, and I also had two CM SickleFlow R4s die in a similar time period.

The Big Boy 200mm moves more air than CM's Megaflow 200mm fans and their 230mm fans (except the one on the Cosmos S).  Keep the Antec.  I don't know much about NZXT, or if it will even fit the standard mounting holes on your 1200.

I've heard good things about Enermax Magma fans.  Their twister bearing is said to have a good design and performance seems good.  I've never personally used one but they're favorable over at OCN and other forums.  Newegg doesn't have GentleTyphoons and Noctua NF-P12s aren't worth the price so they're worth a shot.

Anymore ideas people? I need about 7 120mm fans desperately, and one 200-240mm fan.

I am a noctua lover! They are silent and cool.
    Noctua NF-S12B (120mm)
but for the case you need this model:

They are less expensive at ncix.com (20 instead of 25 in canadian dollars). I noticed newegg is increasing the prices lately.

Scythe S-Flex fans are always a good choice if you are unsure on Enermax Magmas.  I have a few of Thermalright's FDB fans, which are rebranded S-Flex and they have been running forever and the noise profile is good.  Sony's fluid dynamic bearing is a very solid design.  You can find lots of details on its design here.

    http://www.silentpcreview.com/article690-page2.html

    http://www.jarothermal.com/fdb.pdf

They perform normally when mounted horizontally (blowing air up or down) and airflow is good.  Price isn't too bad either.  Scythe's S-Flex is the same as Thermalright's FDB except RPM varies on some of them, and Scythe actually includes mounting screws and a 4-pin molex connector.

But are the Enermax good? Because for $12.99 and the CFM's, they look great. But haven't used them personally.

Newegg only has the 800 RPM model in stock.  Their fan selection is really poor.  If you're ordering from them, your best bet is to get the pricey Noctua NF-P12 or those Enermax fans.  Given what I've read about Enermax, I would be willing to try them.

I have actually used those enermax fans you linked before, and i really liked the balance of good airflow with low noise.  So i can attest that they really are grat fans.

My current favorites are the Gelid Wing 12 fans.  Still very low noise with even better airflow and Static pressure.  I have 2 on my H100 and the temps are great.  Even OC'd a little bit to 4.4, the 2 fans keep it to about 55C on a prime run.

Biggest donwside is obviously the $25 price.  But man, i really love these fans.

I'm with mezzler on the Gelid Wing 12's. That's what I am going to put on my rads. They have excellent airflow and are quiet because of the bearing design. Great noise to airflow ratio IMO along with good static pressure as well. I like the green ones. Wish they had RED ones with or without the LED's. I have written them and asked that they produce RED. If they get enough requests who knows :) Here is the one I have:  http://www.gelidsolutions.com/products/index.php?lid=1&cid=2&id=21&tab=1   I do like the look of those Enermax Red Fans though. It was a toss-up between the two for me but I already had the Gelids on hand so that is what I am going with

    @XeCute:

I recently just sold 9 of the enermax TB Silent fans.  Great CASE fans, and actually are as silent as they claim to be.  Look at reviews if them, definately one of the quietest you can get.  Not a ton of airflow, so not really be good on a rad or OC cpu heatsink.  But as a case fan its wicked.

I am running 8 WING 12 gelids, and only have the 2 on my H100 running at full speed.  The rest are going at about 50% and do a much better job than i would have thought keepin it cool.  My favorite fan to date.
